Just the Two of Us

Kenshue heard word of monsters in Zolon. He knew his unit had been small for he hadn't recruited a new unit since the last time they fought, but there was no time for that now. He was in range of an attack, and he knew he had to defend the region in which he was a knight. He gathered up his unit, which didn't take long at all, and began the movement north towards Zolon. As they approached they noticed what looked like a rough count of ten or eleven monsters. Though the Blood Thirsty Squirrel had sixteen units accounted for, monster's always seemed to be stronger than most men.
As the monsters shifted through the badlands, Kenshue saw off in the distance what looked like another Aenilian unit, he couldn't make out who it was, he was just glad to know he wasn't going to take out these monsters alone. His units prepared for the best possible attack creeping up on the monsters, and before long the battle waged, Kenshue's unit crushing through one end, while the other unit crushing though the other side.
Before long Kenshue could see the other unit was lead by Adaria which made him fight even more recklessly, costing him valuable men in Battle, and before long he realized that from his original sixteen, he only had seven healthy men left, and five wounded.
Kenshue finally stepped back from battle, and signaled Adaria to follow him, she followed and asked "Who else is here to help fight? I sent for help."
Kenshue replied "It's just the two of us...we can make it if we try, just the two of us, you and I"
Adaria smiled, staring back at Kenshue for a silent moment before saying, "Good things might come to those who wait, not for those who wait too late. We've got to go for all we know... to Anrimap!"
She suddenly rushed off towards the departing monsters, but only her captain followed her. Realizing that her men were not going with her after a minute, she paused and turned to look for them.
"Captain Oldred! Where are my men?"
"Err... they're all unconscious, Miss Adaria. They took a good beating."
"Bah!"
Sighing, she walked back to Kenshue, noticed how he was staring at her curiously, and then grinned back at him. On impulse she rushed forwards and hugged him tightly!

Adaria's arms wrapped around him, Kenshue felt as if he were an ice cube, and she were the sun. He quickly returned the hug, and as he pulled away, he looked into her eyes, and didn't want to let go. Should I kiss her? No...It's to soon for something like that. Kenshue's mind kept racing, and didn't realize that Adaria had already left the hug and was once again talking with her Captain to gather what was left of her men. Kenshue did the same, but with so many wounded, it would be a while til they were able to fight again. As he had just gathered the last of his men, Captain Oldred came over to report.
"Lady Adaria wishes for you to know that the monsters you just fought are headed in the direction of Anrimap, and will be there by sunrise." Captain Oldred reported.
"Captain Oldred, please tell Lady Adaria that my men are in no condition to move out, and will need the day to rest. Be sure to tell her also, if she wishes, her and her unit may stay at my estate to rest and heal, but if she so chooses to move to Anrimap, I will meet her there earliest, at sunset." Kenshue explained the situation.
"Yes, Sir Kenshue" Captain Oldred said, as he went back to report.
After her captain's brief report, the girl giggled and nodded. "Sure, let's take him up on his offer! Um... we might need his men's help to carry our men..."

Kenshue looked over to notice his Captain staring off at something.
"What's the matter Captain Heidric" Kenshue asked, perplexed as to what had him so amused.
"Sir, I believe Lady Adaria is headed our way with her unit" Captain Heidric replied.
"What!? I didn't think she was really going to accept my offer, send men to clean the estate at once!" Kenshue said in a panic.
