Lightsbane Family/Yvaen

Yvaen Lightsbane was once a mercenary who fought in the Company of the Wolves, and fought efficiently with his mace and bastard sword. His size gave him considerable strength, which he utilized to obliterate an enemy or to destroy his foes' weapons. He has been through countless battles, and carries his scars with pride. But after 15 years of battles, he wished to retire for he was weary of warfare.

In his last campaign, at the age of 29, he met a fierce woman who fought wildly and matched his strokes. After many minutes in the thick of battle, he disarmed her. The woman refused to surrender, however, and continued to fight with her shattered axe head until Yvaen finally delivered a blow to her helmet which rendered her unconscious. He gazed at her for a few minutes, lost in reverie as he gazed upon the fair face of Lacilla of the Hashimashidas family, exposed once her helm fell off. The blood trickling down the side of her face was strangely fitting, suiting her ferocious temperament and doing nothing to mar her beauty. Instead of disposing of her, he picked her up and brought her to his camp in his tent, to have her treated for injuries. When the woman came to, her first sight was the one of her enemy tending her wounds. She was caught between the duty she had to him and the rage she nurtured to defeat her enemies. Respect and infatuation won when he treated her with respect and took care of her, and they decided to marry.

Yvaen had six children with Lacilla, and together with her they educated their children with whatever skills they could to ensure they would be able to survive. The heirs to the Lightsbane name are in order of birth: Pragus, Lusane, Aedwin, Axel, Adina, and Christopher.
