Siege of Keffa Lifted
2nd May 2007 (Keffa) by Dimon
Fear for the fates of the Knights and Men of Latlan spread throughout the Duchy today after news came of a great battle taking place at Keffa, the capital of Ashborn. In a startling reverse of fortunes, the crippled realm of Ashborn managed to defeat the joint Sint-Heen takeover forces laying siege to their city this morning - in large part it seems, due to the unexpected appearance of Old Grehk forces who had come to liberate Keffa.

According to various reports, the Grehk army had actually been in-line for defeat in the battle to lift the siege, with the Sint-Heen forces easily outnumbering the forces of Old Grehk. However the leadership of Ashborn took this moment to finally lash out at her oppressors. After some delay in prising open the gates of Keffa, the majority of the Ashborn garrison is said to have flooded out of the city and straight into the rear flank of the Sint-Heen forces, ultimately causing a rout for the allied besiegers.

Although the full effect of this defeat remains unclear, it seems unlikely that this will be the last time we cross swords with Old Grehk. Or utter prayers for the safe return of our soldiers.

Granary Report
1st May 2007 (Latlan) by Dimon
Despite a savage drought causing crops to fail throughout the Kingdom of Heen, the granaries of Latlan remain full and no man, woman or child has gone without.

We believe Medium's successor as Royal Treasurer, Wolfgang Lucifer, has ably handled what could quite easily have become a catastrophe for all of Heen.

Latlan Army Formed
1st May 2007 (Latlan) by Dimon
In a surprising move, Duke Attila announced the creation of a new army for the Duchy yesterday, naming it the 'Latlan Legion'. Until recently the armies of Heen were managed from the centre of Heen, in the Royal Council and it seems apparent that not all those in the upper echelons of Heen welcomed this new development.

Indeed, the founding of Ducal armies for both Tahgalez and Heen at around the same time as that of Latlan seems to confirm cynical suspicions that this was a trilateral decision made by the Dukes of Heen themselves as opposed to any of Heen's military minds. That being said however, no public bust-up appears to have occurred over this momentous shake-up of the military hierarchy.

At this time it is unclear what effect, if any, this will have on the ongoing military campaign against Ashborn.
