Mentor Lesson 3 Unit Management
In the ORDER menu you have many options for your unit management:
Pay your men:
- If you want to pay them earlier than the set number of day's in the PAPERWORK menu.
Keeping Bonds at the bank is of no use, the thing with bonds is, you can't use them. So if you want to pay your unit you can only use your gold. So if you are going to travel, make sure all your money is in gold.
Rest Troops:
- Give them a few hours to sleep, the unit will not always like this.
Add recruits:
- make you unit larger.
Abandon Unit:
- You can leave (set as Militia) your unit in a Lasanar region. This way they will guard that region.
Send out scout:
- If you bought one in Stargard, you can scout the region you're in and all surrounding regions.
Buy Paraphernalia:
- Buy healers, scouts and lots of other stuff. Look at the Bankers bulletin where to buy the things you need.
Abandon Paraphernalia:
- Get rid of them. When you don't need them anymore, they will only cost you gold otherwise.
Loot / Takeover:
- This is action should only be undertaken on orders from the High Marshal or Prime Minister. See Laws of Lasanar.
Repair Equipment:
- Your unit has equipment with them. Make sure you repair before damage reaches 50 %, otherwise your men can hurt themselves. This can only be done in a place with a repair shop (smithy).
Entertainment:
- If the moral of your unit drops too low, you could use this to boost moral.
Training:
- Very important, this how your unit gets stronger, without costing too much gold. Every time you can, do this!
Civil Work:
- Help the region get into shape.
Dig in:
- If you are in a (non-city) region, and you think you will be attacked. You can dug in, this is an extra defense line. This will also reduce the damage done to your equipment if you are staying in a region for an extended period.
Hunt Enemies:
- If you (we) defeated the enemy, we could hunt and try to catch or kill a few more of them.
Forage battlefield:
- Your troops with search the battlefield for usable equipment, this could reduce equipment damage.
Leave wounded:
- If you want to travel faster, you could leave the wounded. Although if you are being not hunted by the enemy, you are better off holding on to them.
