Lady Kurewylle is an infiltrator, currently missing. Her last known destination was the South West island, but it is presumed that she never arrived.

Description

Kurewylle is thin, athletic, and flexible as an acrobat. She usually wears dark brown leather of high quality and carries an array of weapons with her at all times. She gives of an outward appearance of a carefree nature, but this is mostly to hide her discomfort with serious topics. She has a highly curious personality, but tends to look for answers by snooping though other people's belongings rather than asking questions. She dislikes entering buildings through the front door. She prefers to keep to herself and does not employ any servants other than a few scouts. She has developed a drinking habit.

The Family

The Family sent off Lady Kurewylle with their blessing. At the time of her departure, her cousins had all firmly established themselves as troop leaders, so the family was less nervous about letting one of their own go. They had grand hopes that she would win them fame in the South West. They are very disappointed in her failure as a general, but the vasts amounts of Melhed money that were sent home has redeemed her in their eyes.

History

After hearing the glory of her cousins, she took 15 desert warriors and set sail for the south-west, hoping to make her own name there. The ship crashed on the shore of Segglin, and the small band found themselves in the midst of a brutal takeover by Ikalak. They tried to avoid combat, but the enemy had seen the ship crash, and easily slaughtered the dazed travelers. Kurewylle escaped into the trees with the ships captain. He had taken an arrow to the leg and could not travel, so she was forced to leave him behind. He gave her three items to take with her: a letter to send home to his family in Quetli, the papers for the ruined ship, and a brass horn with mysterious carvings on it.

Kurewylle received a very warm welcome from her new realm mates in Taselak and was optimistic about her new home. However, it became clear very quickly the realm is nearing the ends of it days. Her optimism was shattered when a region lord she looked up to defected to another realm.

She was briefly named Baroness of the Cave of Guilt, but captured on her way back to Taselak, so she lost the title. She was only at the cave a short while, and wished to go back to explore its depths in a time of peace.

With so many troop leaders leaving the realm, Kurewylle was named first Marshal then Minister of Defense. She was not qualified for either of these jobs, but tried her best to defend the remains of Taselak.

The city fell quite easily and the Cave was all that remained of Taselak for some time. With no troops and nothing to do but wait for the end, Kurewylle had had some time to explore the caves. Finally she found what she was looking for, a small hiding place to store her treasured possessions. Worried she would be robbed or killed on the way out, she hid her things there before leaving.

The Cave of Guilt was left alone for quite some time, but eventually was brutally taken over. The four remaining troop leaders of Taselak we all stabbed, even though they presented no threat to their enemies. The Guilt will haunt them.

Although she was caught in her attempt to leave the South West Island, Kurewylle was allowed to board a ship to Melhed, Beluaterra. Upon arriving, she joined the order of The Old Gods. After much time in Melhed, Kurewylle has decided to try the path of an infiltrator.

Kurewylle's first true mission as an infiltrator came not from her realm, but from her family. She stalked and successfully wounded a noble who had wronged one her cousins. The job got her a few days in prison, but it was well worth it.

Kurewylle planned to briefly visit Wetham for her cousin's wedding, but found that she could not return to Beluaterra. No crew would sail to that land for fear of the undead, monsters, and demons that plague it.

For a long time she stayed in Wetham, not really quite sure what to do with herself. By forging some documents, she was Countess of the Corali Forest for a short while. She amused herself by various antics, including blowing up the wall in South Bakker. Eventually she was deported to East Continent by Sir G´war Aktil´Rohar, Executor of Assassins.

When she arrived in the East, her cousin Kureshtev tried to get Kurewylle to join the Church of Ibladesh, but she opted instead to join the small realm of Ubent. After a few missions she was deported to Beluaterra by Sir Ryndhal Nabarl, Judge of Itorunt.

Kurewylle returned to Melhed, but found it was not the home to expected to find. Her journeys had taken her too far from her past life, and it could not be reclaimed. After unsuccessfully stalking daimons for a while, Kurewylle hired a small boat to take her to the South West. She had heard rumors that it had sunk into the sea, and she wanted to see this for herself. She has not been heard from since.
