Great Chancellor KatalynFae,

Congratulations on your election! You ran with grace and dignity, and just one of your speeches far outclassed all three days of my campaign. I look forward to more of your success and know that you will achieve greater things than what you have already done.

On the matter of An Najaf, I wish Sir Hierarch all the best, he was my vassal for my whole time as Count and received the highest good marks of all my knights (he served as my knight the longest). If there is anyone who can rein my beloved land after me, it is him, and I wish him success and prosperity.

It breaks my heart to say this, but I have decided to return to miltiary service and let An Najaf be commanded by someone better. There was nothing in my life better than being the Count of An Najaf, nothing, but the troubles and the suffering have weighed heavy on my heart. Such turmoil can only be stomached for so long before a man is poisoned by it. Every day I see my peoples misery and I cannot help them. How can I be their Count if I have no way of relieving their pain? I cannot. So, please make the next Count of An Najaf a noble who will love that region as I have. If you find one with that unflinching love, then An Najaf will be saved. Whoever commands her after me, know that I will be guarding her like a jealous father so protect her, behave, and bring her home to Fontan.

Hero of Democracy,

Armstrong Ironsides (Lord)
