Prince Maedros,

With haste please re-appoint Lord Justice Antonious to his rightful place as Lord of Bruck.

Prince Corwin,

With haste please re-appoint Lord Feoran to his rightful place as Lord of Evora.

Lord Mathros,

Westmoor thanks you for your service as Lord of Bruck to maintain order as well as your acknowledgement of the Lord Justice's superior and rightful claim to the province. Your king and Arch Cleric thanks you. Your dedication to the Kingdom has made me come to a decision.

As Sovereign of the Most Serene Kingdom of Westmoor I decree the formation of the Order of the Sacred Rose, dedicating it to Saint Evangeline Magnificara and declaring her its patroness. The first Queen of Westmoor, the patroness of the Spirit of Determination, is the only Saint that could represent an order of knights recognized by the Crown for displaying the best qualities of all Westmoorians, native or adopted. Every knight inducted gains the right to display a pure white rose, illuminated in aurum, on their crest. This is to represent the trust that a Westmoorian Sovereign has placed in that knight, a trust to be displayed to all.

Lord Mathros, I offer you induction as the first Knight of the Sacred Rose in honor of your service to the Kingdom and dedication to the Crown. Should you accept, I will gladly meet you in the Church of Divina Redemptor in Westmoor City itself and, before the Divine and the Faithful, swear your oath to the Order.

Sir Jor Tanos, Priest of Church of Humanity

King of Westmoor, Ambassador of
Jor Tanos

The bells of the grand Church of Divina Redemptor tolled, summoning the populace of the City of Westmoor to attend services. Its stark white facade and golden dome shined brightly in the early morning light as dawn broke over the city's walls. Crowds of peasants and minor nobility streamed through the doors of one of the largest temples to the Divine in the entire world, matched only by the restored Basilica of Divina Pantocrator in Perdan City.

At the altar set before the massive statue of the Divine in Her glory stood Jor of the House of Tanos, Arch Cleric of the Universal Church and King of Westmoor and her people. Instead of his priestly robes, he wore the robes of his temporal office, rich robes in the colors of Westmoor. Deep pinks, blues, and silvers all in silk and velvet. In truth, they were divineawful and horrendous, but they were proper. On his graying brow rested the crown of the Kingdom, rather than his priestly mitre.

When Mathros arrived, the ceremony began. Approaching the altar, Jor turned and faced the crowd, arms raised towards them as he addressed the attendants.

"Sir Mathros of House Hagakure, Orthodox Lord of Commonyr, Lord Pro Tem of Bruck, Kazakh, and Kazan,

"For your service to the Crown, for your unwavering loyalty to the Kingdom, for your sacrifice and embodiment of the Spirit of Determination... I honor you."

The aging monarch smiled warmly, his hands lowering to his sides. "Kneel before the altar of the Divine and repeat after me.

"I, Mathros of House Hagakure, Orthodox Lord of Commonyr, Lord Pro Tem of Bruck, Kazakh, and Kazan, do swear before the gaze of the Divine and Her Faithful to uphold the honor and sovereignty of the Most Serene Kingdom of Westmoor, to maintain the finest standards as set forth by the Code of Chivalry, and to bring honor and loyalty to the Kingdom in my every action. This I pledge, with my beating heart."

Jor smiled slightly, waiting for the words to be repeated. Once said, he motioned to an altar boy who carried a shield with him. Emblazoned on its surface was the personal crest of Mathros of House Hagakure. There was a difference, however. On the field of the arms was a deep red rose, expertly painted over a gold leaf background. The Arch Cleric took a vial of sacramental oil from the altar and drew the Symbol of the Divine along its surface.

The altar boy then carried it over to the kneeling knight.

"Rise, Sir Mathros of House Hagakure, Knight of the Order of the Sacred Rose. Give thanks and praise to your patroness, Saint Evangeline Magnificara, First Queen of Westmoor. Go forth in the Divine's name."
