The Gem of Fire is a unique accessory found on the continent of Beluaterra. It's warm to the touch, and when one stares at it long enough, it looks like they are holding fire in their hands.
On a continent regularly invaded by Daemons, it seems to resonate when something about them is near, most likely because Fire and Daemons are rather closely linked. It's believed an appropriately skilled spell caster could make further use of it, probably drawing out the flames within.
Current Use
Currently, Soren has had forged for himself a clawed gauntlet in which the gem of fire resides. Along with a sword he recovered from a Daemon*, he fights like a Daemon in battle. The sword and gem seem to resonate, so he's been reluctant to use the sword when the Gem is with him for fear of what might happen - though the temptation is great.
