Oligarch from bad to worse / turning point of the war – September 27th 2005

Coimbraheim the beginning and the end

Oligarch had just scored major victories against their enemies SIrion and Fontan when their leader and Dictator Bergelmir the Fearless decided to become a traitor succeed the dutchy of Westmoor into Coimbraheim. This was no small act. The dutchy of Westmoor consisted of Westmoor city, Poitiers, Hagley, Troyes and Morshes.

Oligarch rushed to do what they can

September 30, 2005 - Bergelmir the Fearless was stabbed and seriously wounded by assasins

October 1, 2005 – Paris was elected ruler and stabbed one day later

October 3, 2005 – Coimbraheim decends into anarchy

October 4, 2005 – Coimbraheim incurs the wrath of the gods and turns rogue overnight.

With this Oligarch was on their heels. Fontan and Sirion didn’t give Oligarch a change to recuperate from the betrayal and it severely tipped the tide of the northern war completely.

Southern war – September 2005

Ubent sign peace with Perdan and exit the war again in the south under their new leader. Ubent are still too afraid to enter the war in support of the central alliance fearing their own destruction and sit idly still.

Perdan continues to make up more ground on its enemies capturing Al Aquabah from Ibladesh and also entering Al Arab for the first time.

Perdan was looking good to make a substantial gain and make Ibladesh lose a city until the Westmoor debacle happened.

October 2005

With the chaos in the north Perdan was forced to send its elite battlegroup north to hold back Fontan and Sirionite forces from making serious gains against Oligarch.

Oligarch with Perdan’s help were able to gain much of their regions back however not without a cost.

Both Avamar and Rancangua however were pushed and holed back into their cities without the aid of Oligarch troops raiding and pushing Sirionite and Old Rancanguan forces back from their respective regions.

In spite of this Perdans offensive in the south was also halted and no ground was gained there.

The Caligus Yssarian front surged on. Caligus despite their difficult situation decided to pick a new general in hopes for better luck. Hero Eagles Reach was thus elected. By now Yssaria had grown bold and went for Tokat. Once movement was show Caligus moved into Aureus picking off a substantial amount of forces then chased down the Yssarians in Tokat holding a takeover there. Caligus emerged victorious again and with it Caligus was able to re-capture Aureus and even Supra. Caligus has overthrown the odds and with that it also angered Yssaria immensely.

November 2005

The first two weeks of the month saw Perdan take the rogue region of Clermont while Ibladesh reclaimed Al Aquabah.

Ubent sided with the central alliance (finally) and marched north to aid Oligarch to get away from war close to their lands. They tried along with Oligarch to break the takeover of Greatbridge but were unsuccessful.

Sirion also at the same time took over Obendorf from Oligarch and successfully cut of Westmoor from the rest of the realm.

Yssaria loses Supra at the beginning of November to Caligus and decides to move its capital to Hamdan due to the massive rally Caligus has been doing over October. Caligus and Yssaria fight to a bloody stalemate in Supra.

22 November 2005 - Yssaria suffers another major defeat in Winkamus and King Eleran the Count of Yssaria dies in the battle rumor to have been killed by High Marshal Eagles Reach of Caligus unit. Caligus although fighting their most hated enemy offers their condolences to Yssaria for the king. Prandur the high marshal was elected as King of Yssaria

Beginning of the End – Rancangua Falls

On the 26th of November 2005 forces of Fontan, Sirion and Old Rancangua assault the level 6 citadel of Kazakh. With overwhelming forces even with such great fortication the forces of Rancangua had little they can do but kill as many as they could before they got killed. Old Rancangua immediately began a takeover of the region which succeeded four days later on the 30th

Oligarch in the mess re-claim greatbridge from Fontan. Oberndorf revolts from SIrion and Clermont revolts from Perdan. Caligus decides to give Ubent Winkamus (Idea of vice-general Dobromir Menethil to shorten the border and focus Caligus defence in Supra
