After the Cataclysm, nomadic humans roamed the Plains of Majestic Fountains following the only accessible food source, the spiked mega fauna known as yurathi. The yurathi were the main resource of the nomads, and the hunted carcasses were crudely manufactured for many uses. Using the shells and the spikes of the animals for armour and weapons, the thick matted hair for clothing, and cleaving the meat and organs into many nutritious dishes. In the yurathi, the nomads had found a bountiful supplier. Eventually, the climate began to change and the fertile land receded further and further and the yurathi began to die off. The nomads followed the remnants of the yurathi out of what was now becoming the eastern part of the Desert of Silhouettes and into a region that encompasses what we know as Sallowwild and a large part of the Desert of Silhouettes, where they found different terrain and healthier soil. This fertile area surrounded the ruins of an ancient city whose name was lost to the nomads, but is claimed to be the Citadel of Ishkantar.
