Rise from the Ashes: The Hammers of Stone

It was early in the evening in Perdan City.

The soft orange and purple glow of the sky began to dim to black and torches and street lamps were lit. Civilians began to travel home or to taverns and inns for the night and proud den of the Perdan Lion began to quiet down for the night.

Across the city in the Old Docks where the ash of the last month's fire still covered much of the stone with no small number of buildings still bearing scorch marks from the fires and the explosion that caused it.

The gentle autumn breeze carried a ship into the harbor, it was a small ship no larger then a small merchant ship but it stood out, it was eloquently carved and was ornate with a stag head carved as the ship's figure head.

It was a slim vessel, all the wood was a soft white like the color of the stars that began to fill the sky as dusk turned to night, a deep navy blue sail was raised with thirteen stars surrounding a largest star with a black star in the largest star's center, soft and gentle harp music came from the ship as it pulled into the docks.

On the deck of the ship was ten tall soldiers, they were clad in shining silver armor of a foreign and elegant fashion, short knee length capes of navy blue slightly billowed behind them.

Nine of the tall soldiers held in their hands large and ornate Warhammers each with a smaller and ornate hammer on their belts, one whose helmet had a long silver crest atop the helmet, In her hand she held one of the smaller hammers and in off-hand she carried a banner, it was identical to the sail with the same thirteen stars surrounding the largest star with the black star in the largest star's center.

With a long blow from a warhorn that resembled an elk's horn, the ten tall soldiers marched off the ship and into the city, they passed wordlessly and with discipline, each marching in sync they marched through the city.
