Darkan Law

The law in Darka is not known for its softness in the face of punishing our criminals. The entire continent of Atamara knows and respects our law for what it truly is: fierce, cold and fair. Our law creates no lies, produces no propaganda and does no business with spies. Darkan law makes no mistakes in punishing the guilty, and no man but the King himself may challenge the ultimate Law of Darka.

The Volcano

Mnt. Sinclair is our Holy Volcano. There, much of our religion Darkanism finds its origin. Our law throws the worst of our criminals into this Volcano. I can personally tell you from my own experiences; the entire realm loves a good Volcano-throwing. If you anger the law of Darka past its civil ability to leave you alive…you will find your death at the bottom of Mnt Sinclair.

The Arch Priestess

The Arch Priestess Lavigna has held control of Law longer then I have been within Darka. She is both cruel and worthy of all of our trust. Her ways of torturing her prisoners are sacred and heinous; practiced, old and brutal methods of bringing the height of human suffering to those worthy of the Law’s wrath. Such acts are almost always held publicly, with details intact and with a simple message sent clearly to all: Darka can be cruel.

Arch Priestess Lavigna may not serve forever as our Law Mother, but whoever serves this position must be respected without question. If you are lucky enough to live in a time where she is the Mother of the Darkan law system, feel blessed for you are truly in a good day.

Important Standing Laws

• Thou shalt love Darka and it's Gods with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment of the Darkan way.

• Thou shalt love fellow Darkans as thyself.

• LOOTING IS ILLEGAL UNLESS DIRECTLY ORDERED TO DO SO. Loot without orders and you'll be punished according to your experience.

• Dueling is legal, BUT, there are some limits to it: duels to surrender are forbidden outside Darka (they can cause your imprisonment) but if the Law can not convince you against issuing or accepting “Duels to death”, then it is a matter of heart and no longer a issue the Law feels to be the authority over.

• Constant failure of following orders will get you into trouble.You will have a warning first, but repeating it may cost you a ban. This is a mercenary realm, our gold, job and fame to clients depends on our army,and that needs following the exact orders you receive from your Superiors
