(OOC note: This sermon is dedicated to Ruthe, we pray for you.)
This is the weekly sermon of High Priest Chadro'ez.

Followers of Humanity,
Your grace, duke Faracan Screndt of Aix,
Nobility of Aix,

Thank you, lord of Aix, for allowing me to give this sermon in your wonderful city.
Today, I wanted to talk to you about the eleventh tenet: Stand up to any evil you see.
However, recent tidings have altered me into a humble man, not fit to talk about such things as a teacher, or a guide. I see you as if you are my children and I am your father, I care for you as if you were my own, I love you as I love my father and as I have love for the Devine. Your friendship is my friendship, as is your sorrow my sorrow. Just hours ago, I have heard from a sorrow that makes me humble, as the Devine's ways are mysterious ways.

There is in this wonderful city of Aix a girl which we all know and all have heard of, I am quite sure. This lovely girl, barely sixteen years old, only recently wed, has gotten ill, very ill. As I am a priest and capable of healing some of your healers know not of, I was called hence. Healers, learned academics calling themselves 'doctors' were at here bedside, dumbstruck. A mysterious disease had fallen on this wonderful girl, once the light of every party she attended. At the very moment I entered her room, I felt the presence of the Devine in her room, I immediatly send away all those charlatans and pill rollers, as their mere presence gave a bad influence to the room.
"Ruthe!" I called her, as Ruthe was her name. "Ruthe, what has befallen you, my girl? Wherefore are you lying here, in bed?"
"I am sick, father, very sick, but I do not know why. Why does this illness fall on me?"
"I do not know, my child." I answered, "The path of the Devine is not always lighted, but it shall not end in this darkness."
"Father... I feel... I feel that I am dying, father." She spoke softly, her last words were almost a whisper: "I am scared, father..."
I immediately send for her close kin, her family and close friends. Soon the room was filled with a dead silence that can only be created by many people not daring to even utter the faintest of sounds. The girl's face was pale, as pale as I have only seen at battlefields on soldiers dying of their wounds, drained of all their life force. I was sure this girl was dying and that there was nothing within my power that I could do to help her, as my powers are not those of the Devine. I was scared and as silent as everyone in that room as we stood there and watched her fight her last battle.

But then it happened. I have never in my life witnessed a true miracle, impossible by every physic law in this world. But here, in the City of Aix, I have seen a miracle of the Devine. As I held the girls hand, I felt the being of the Devine becoming stronger and stronger. It was as if he was summoned there by the silent prayers uttered by those caring for this little girl.I can not sufficiently describe the event that happened there, as it was not something that can be described in any known human language, but I shall do my best: It was as if the Devine itself spoke to Ruthe with words I can not repeat, or even try to. A glance of golden light formed on the face of Ruthe, her eyes were closed, but one could feel that she was intensely looking for something present. In my memory, we stood there for an eternity, silent. As dumbstruck as those academics I had sent away. It were mere seconds that had passed since I had felt it's presence rising, as if time had not passed at all.

Today, followers of Humanity, I am dumbstruck by my faith, as I have seen something I thought I would never see. Today, followers of the Divine, I have truly followed the Divine. I can only be grateful that such a thing has befallen to me and I am ever thankful for our grace Duke Faracan of Aix for his acceptance of me, here, today, to speak to you. For if he had not accepted, I would not have witnessed this true miracle.

I send you forth with faith and with the thought of the Devine, as he will be with us.
