Broken Words

Breonna sat frowning at the storm clouds, her legs crossed, and just as so as her mood. She holds her hand in her hand and purposely yawns loud enough for the Guard to recognize as acknowledgement. From it's knee it says "His Majesty, The King, Jenred-"

Breonna drops her hand from her face and stares down at her guard "It's was an accident?"

The Guard remains still "They suspect a fall from his horse."

Breonna returns her head to her hand and frowns "Someone fowls a contract and it seems I always get paid."

The Guard raises it's head so slightly "Faith calls you a boon, My Lady."

Breonna turns her gaze onto those words "Why would I care what faith calls me? It never asks anything of me and I nothing of it- Huh? Guard, I'm your master and I order you to speak the truth! How did faith speak to you?!"

The Guard lowers it's head from the commands weight placed over him "Faith spoke though me, My Lady."

Breonna leans forward from her seat and takes hold of the Guard's face. And Speaks harshly "My Guards are contracted to serve me, they are no tool to another force!"

By the end of her sentence only dust remained in Breonna's hands. Another who defaults on a contract...
