Arcaea/Library/History/Alliance Between Ohnar West and Arcaea

WHEREAS, the Kingdom of Arcaea and Feudal Republic of Ohnar West shall be party to this treaty and commit to be bound by its terms and obligations before their Gods and before their Peers of the Far East. Furthermore, any colony to be established on the Dark Isle by the Kingdom of Arcaea likewise agrees to be so bound;

WHEREAS, the Kingdom of Arcaea and the Feudal Republic of Ohnar West do henceforth regard one another as equal, honorable, Sovereign and independent realms, and do enter into this treaty to establish and further the bonds of brotherhood and unity between them;

WHEREAS, Ohnar West shall commit to support the Kingdom of Arcaea in its present war with Arcachon with the goal of an Arcaean colony on the Dark Isle;

WHEREAS, the Kingdom of Arcaea shall cede the region of Arempos to Ohnar West;

WHEREAS, in recognition of the importance of Arempos' roads in transit to and from Arcaea's capital of Remton, Arcaea shall retain in perpetuity passage and military access rights through the region of Arempos; this right shall supersede all other treaties and obligations save for an annulment of this treaty by the Kingdom of Arcaea. Furthermore, should Ohnar West undertake any diplomatic or military action that would deny Arcaea the use of Arempos' roads, including but not limited to a nullification of this treaty or a declaration of war on Arcaea, the Feudal Republic of Ohnar West publicly renounces its claim to Arempos.

WHEREAS, neither the Kingdom of Arcaea, nor the colony it is to establish on the Dark Isle, nor any agents under the control of either realm shall damage, loot, or raze any temples belonging to the Church of Adgharism located on the Dark Isle or in the regions of Tulpos, Unatosa, and Apasur. Violation of this clause shall require the offending party to make reparations to the Church of Adgharism according to twice the amount appraised in damage to or theft from the temples.

WHEREAS, Arcaea shall commit not to torture or steal from such nobles of Arcachon as come under their power, nor harm or waylay nobles of Arcachon who depart the Dark Isle to seek refuge in Ohnarian territory; however, Ohnar West shall provide neither succor nor refuge to either "Geire Suil" Ortisia Driscol or Duke Melehan Lefanis.

NOW THEREFORE, the Feudal Republic of Ohnar West and the Kingdom of Arcaea shall, in common purpose and dignity, undertake to establish a lasting alliance of mutual regard, support, and affection with these above commitments as the basis of their future relations.
