Fall of a Hero

Deschain Occam, Count of Veshin, Minister of the People, Hero, was slain in the latest Battle of Tandsu. Wounded, surrounded by Tarans, Deschain fought valiantly alongside his men defending a hill as waves of attacking infantry were repulsed, charged, repulsed and charged again. All Abington is in mourning. In Riverholm, the strongest cavalry of the city have been renamed in honour of Deschain and his noble family. In Wor'ight, three days have been dedicated to his memory, and banners across the realm flutter in mourning at half-mast. Across the world Deschain is remembered, and his passing not forgotten.
