For day, '''the globe as it is now wil stay'''. Just to make that perfectly clear. It has become a bit of a BM icon, it is used in many different places (like the Wiki here, on the left).

I just want a night-time image in addition. It could be a darker version of the globe, it could be the moon and stars one. Whatever looks better in the end. --[[User:Tom|Tom]] 21:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

i believe the dark globe version better since the daytime one will be a normal globe, hence the perspective remains the same (looking on the globe not from the globe in the case of the moon and stars version). [[User:Metsamees|Metsamees]] 15:00, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

I think the request was for changing the link, i.e. the globe. :-) --Tom 10:32, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Tom's Perspective

I see, i wonder how i missed that. Heres with the globe only changed, assuming the current one will remain for the day, this would be for the night. http://www.hot.ee/corefinder/Sidebar2-1.jpg/ Anything mistaken or missing again, let me know, will attempt to fix. - Metsamees 19:21, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Tom's words, after some brief emails, on the last image: "I like this one better than the other, but a combination would be best - a bit of moon and some stars in the dark part of the above image and it would work." --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor and Community Manager 21:28, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Clarification

For day, the globe as it is now wil stay. Just to make that perfectly clear. It has become a bit of a BM icon, it is used in many different places (like the Wiki here, on the left).

I just want a night-time image in addition. It could be a darker version of the globe, it could be the moon and stars one. Whatever looks better in the end. --Tom 21:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Well if i may offer a personal opinion, i believe the dark globe version better since the daytime one will be a normal globe, hence the perspective remains the same (looking on the globe not from the globe in the case of the moon and stars version). Metsamees 15:00, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
