Spelling

Why did you correct a correct spelling? Honour is the english way of spelling what the americans spell honor. --Rasmus 23 cot. 2005 11:24 (cet)

Have to agree, I think word from Tom is that English english is the language of BM. More Importantly, thanks for you contributions to the page, it's good to see the page being added to. --mcsporran 7 November 2005 19:15 (CET)

Thanks for the edit on the cover...looks better centered. I dig it!

Brian

Garett, to get the battle report to work properly I beleive you have to copy the source coding not the actual report. Although I advise against uploading all these fat battles. --The1exile 13:24, 22 August 2006 (CEST)

It's just temporary, I no longer need it. --Bishamon Family 23:56, 22 August 2006 (CEST)

...You should consider making your page look pretty. Or at least put a bit of info about your chars. --Kurosaki Family 22:12, 5 October 2006 (CEST)

Thanks for the correction on the ruler of CE! Jezralhm 11:33, 2 January 2007 (CET)

Athins

Nah not messing with the Grehk one, just trying to get something written about the ones that are empty. --Athins 22:48, 18 August 2008 (CEST)

Hey maybe you can help me with something real quick? I can't seem to get this template to stay at the top: Template:Armybox. Example: [[Fontan/Fontan Rangers]] Any ideas? If not I'll ask the d-list. --Athins 01:15, 19 August 2008 (CEST)

No worries, second time I have had this happen, never figured out the first, thanks. --Athins 02:05, 19 August 2008 (CEST)

Categories?

Why are you removing categories from so many articles? Some of those were legitimate category entries. --Indirik 02:18, 3 November 2008 (CET)

See Meta:Delete Request for more info. What would you consider to be legitimate? I'm open to discussion on this, but I'm just trying to clean up the wiki. --Vita Family 03:33, 3 November 2008 (CET)

Humorous

Allow me to introduce you to a very useful feature of the BattleMaster Wiki:
PreviewButton.png
Please use it.

XD --Athins 22:25, 5 November 2008 (CET)

Where didn't I use show preview? --Vita Family 22:48, 5 November 2008 (CET)
No I just found the template entertaining. --Athins 08:02, 6 November 2008 (CET)

Link Style

Understood, I'll try to not use multipule limks in the future. Apologies. --Maddness 12:13, November 7, 2008

RealmBox

re: Falasan. Sure, why not. I'd like to try it, if you don't mind. It would increase my wiki syntax knowledge. I'll sandbox one in the coming days. Realistically, it won't happen until the Christmas holiday. --Tinsley 06:19, 8 December 2008 (CET)

The Order

But that statement is still untrue. The Order is _not_ the first "official" religion by any means. It was the first to take advantage of the new game mechanics, but the Church of Rancagua, Da Way, and the volcano worshiping in Darka, and even the nordic beliefs of Barony of Makar FAR predate The Order's existence in BattleMaster. --Bannable 19:43, 12 December 2008 (CET)

If there is no way to put it properly in-character, then put it as OOC or simply don't mention it. Saying something is true when it obviously is not is not the proper way to handle this. --Bannable 19:51, 12 December 2008 (CET)

Thanks

Lol thanks for reverting family pages :P.. I thought i was on lower families... Ceorl 16:53, 23 December 2008 (CET)

RE: Dwilight legends

My problem is that many of the IC legends are mix with their histories, and taking away one may detract from the other. I will try to separate them if I can.

Odd Image

It's part of my daring new advertising strategy. I'll tell you if it works, or take down the image, within a week :-) --Hroppa 09:00, 7 January 2009 (CET)

RE:Show Preview

I almost found it insulting the second time you brought this up. Maybe next time I will call everything a minor edit, or perhaps not edit anything at all. Jeckyl 13:20, 7 January 2009 (CET)

Madina Page

Thanks for fixing up the outdated code, all I know how to do is copy and paste code(and preview it)hoping the original writer knew what they were doing Gaby 09:15, 12 January 2009 (CET)

Editing Ohnar West Pages

Midas-icon.png is the file i uploaded for the replacement to the Lasanar.png icons. I wont change the Akanos page, as you will need to decide what it is you wish to do with the "Mentor" section, and the layout. In the meantime, i think i will do some minor changes to the other pages. Name and image changes, and prehaps a sentence or two. (Cant remember when i wrote this today, couple of hours ago atleast. Here is a stamp anyways, just so you know who it is. --Du Blois Family 00:52, 14 January 2009 (CET))

09:23, 13 January 2009 Bishamon Family m (Far East/Akanos/former moved to Far East/Akanos/Former). Just a note, you moved the page but didnt update the link in the Akanos page. I already did this sometime today, but just a heads up. --Du Blois Family 00:52, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Iv added a couple of things, but ill leave the rest to you. I added a second paragraph to "City of Akanos, describing the details of Esorp and Ohnar, and how it lead to Hamilton becoming Duke. I added the last sentence of "Duchy of Akanos" and updated the "surrounding Areas", "Regions belong to the duchy" and "Troopleaders" sections. On any edits iv made, i have generally tried to keep all the history of the regions, from Lasanar and the highland empire, or any other details already there. Also, how can you find the island_no and region_no? --Du Blois Family 01:09, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Thank you, the information will be useful. Iv made a template thingy i will use to make all regions look similar on their wiki pages, but i wont touch Akanos. Im only going to do Ozrat as it is empty, and Sasrhas as it was near identical to the Lasanar Akanos page. I will also make a page for Pesol, as it currently does not have one but i will first try to see how to make pages. --Du Blois Family 01:30, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Its not so much a template. I just made Sanzzos with all the categories etc, and i just copy and pasted it into notepad. I paste it into the edit field of a page and just change all the details. Only template actually used is the Template:Infobox_Regions_Small. --Du Blois Family 01:49, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Okay, iv now done every single region page for all 10 of Ohnar West's regions. The 3 cities have the same layout, and the 7 regions have the same layout. Other than collecting history of regions from the West Ohnarian players, the only page that needs doing is the Ohnar West page. It looks like it is of lesser quality qhen compared to the realm pages of the other realms in the Far East. --Du Blois Family 03:25, 14 January 2009 (CET)
Im slightly confused now about a couple of things. First, you changed my link to Fallins family page. you took away the two links and made one link. Most people make sub pages for family members, so the use of # instead of / i see as a bad change. You have also deleted ALOT of the information i put on every page. You deleted the Surrounding Areas, Troops Recruitable, Paraphanelia and the temples section of every page. Despite the fact that i like the "Realm Template" box instead of the "Small region" template box, i cant understand why you deleted almost every scrap of information about every region. You also deleted the Armies section and Regions section of the OW page as well. Can i know why? --Du Blois Family 14:47, 15 January 2009 (CET)
The page you showed me you wished for the page to appear like has an army section, but does not have marshals. So prehaps add something similar?

Reverts

Why are you reverting everything thats being done on the wiki? -Chénier 16:57, 2 February 2009 (CET)

region moves

You can move everything without any deletions. Check how I did it with Sirion:

Just wondering. Are you going to add a bunch of [[Sirion (Duchy)]] later on? As the infobox uses has "duchy of" that goes right back to the region.--Fodder 11:15, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

TOC

I created a Template:RightTOC that fixes things. Didn't want to mess with Mediawiki's CSS, because then it'll be messed up again on the next update. --Tom 14:38, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Uploads

My apologies, I will do in future.

Dwilight Timeline Correction

You keep changing it's to its on the Dwilight timeline which is grammatically incorrect. "Spoldgeville elects Bob it's ruler," the 's shows that it is possessive, Bob belongs to Spoldgeville. Its is grammatically incorrect anyway you look at it, there is no plural for it.--Athins 19:30, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Ahh ok. That makes no sense to me, should be the other way around, but then English as a language makes no sense.--Athins 19:30, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

added editor/reviewer group

I've added you to the editor/reviewer groups. This is required for the new help pages, for which we'll be using the Flagged Revisions extension as quality control. +--Tom 10:11, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

patrolling

I noticed that you disabled the patrolling system in what I assume is in response to the above. Could it not be fixed otherwise? I found it quite useful in working with Indirik to ensure the style guide was being used, fixing pages, and letting know users about the various policies. --Vita Family 23:22, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
I didn't intentionally disable it. I assume that the FlaggedRevs extension somehow interferes with it. --Tom 23:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I changed the redirect because that is the page you go to when you search for "Banner". Right now the Paraphernalia page only shows up as the 10th result, which does not make sense. It's pretty obvious to me that someone who searches for "banner" is not so much interested in the banner of Avamar as in infantry banners. vonGenf 10:22, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Akadian League

I updated the succession page to the best of my memories. Yeah, it's been fun, and it made me realize how much of a dead end my nice guys characters are in. vonGenf 07:05, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Almost everyone left, and the city is occupied, so I don't see what he can do. He can appoint himself Duke now, I guess. vonGenf 19:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Feature Requests

So, how can I decide if a feature has been accepted or rejected by the community? To take the example of

http://news.battlemaster.org/pipermail/discuss/2009-July/040013.html

There were valid objections, but also many people who agreed. Should I recap it on the D-list? Should I write to you to ask if you accept it? Should I just shut up and let you do your job? vonGenf 08:59, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Other people's talk pages

Come on, I'm glad to know you read them, but I don't know why you feel the need to organize them for me. vonGenf 06:18, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Sirion Realm History

Thanks for the info about the IRC channel. I may indeed stop by and ask you some questions at some point! -- Corwyn 23:27, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Linking to sub-pages

Thanks for the tip on linking to sub-pages, for example from the edit you made to Sirion (Realm)/Battles! -- Corwyn 17:10, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

That was me using the preview function as much as possible, and editing as precisely as I was able. The reasons for why I had to approach the editing the way I did are irrelevant, simply accept that I had to do so. My apologies for troubling you. --Somra 10:35, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Timeline

Sorry about that! I misinterpreted what the guidelines for additions meant. I'll be sure to only add the appropriate stuff in the future. Cheers, Brendan 02:01, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Dwilight Dates

I removed the preemptive dates for two reasons. First, the seasons are not always exact as I have seen from keeping track of them for some time, they vary between 20 days and 21 days randomly (as far as I can tell), so there is a very likely chance the ones you put are inaccurate. Second, the timeline is supposed to be IC, and I see it as a breach of character to put in changes of the seasons and years before they happened. --Athins 20:36, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

I guess that is true. I never knew there was manual intervention, that would explain it. --Athins 06:16, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Silverfire Edits

It is going to be a religion on the Far East. I had intended to have it off the ground by now but have been distracted by real life, and haven't had the time to finish the set up. I want to have all the details figured out before I found it. Hopefully, I'll have it figured out shortly. Although any ideas are always nice. Silverfire 03:48, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Dead space (Palm Sea)

There was a reason for the dead space. Since what I posted is just my 'discovery' of Palm Sea, and it are mostly geographic features there are more important things. That goes above my report. And as I placed them, the text was in line with the images. So I hope you don't mind if I change them to how it was. --Roy 06:24, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

wiki is not a forum

It can be IC, but it's not a damn forum. They can read the newspaper and talk about it IG, fine. However, communicating via the forum is circumventing game mechanics. Add to that it's a wiki page I created and maintain myself, I don't want propaganda wars on the talk page. They can comment/rebuke/question its content either IG or via their own newspaper articles. -Chénier 00:48, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Consider myself not publishing the letters to the editor and cleaning my shoes on them instead. -Chénier 02:24, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Just to further explain my stance, even wikipedia has this rule. A wiki was never designed to be used as a forum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NOT#FORUM -Chénier 13:28, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Please Use

Thank you for the mature reply to the simple requests that you have also found necessary to remove from your talk page. All I'm requesting you to do is to use show preview to not clog up the Recent Changes log with multiple small edits. --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor and Community Manager 14:24, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Weird wiki bug

I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this.

I go to the Records of BattleMaster page. I see the page as I should. However, the links above it (page, discussion, edit, history, move, watch) are actually links to the corresponding The Temple of the Trinity Gods page.

I only see this for this particular page. I have no idea how it came to be, or how to fix it. vonGenf 18:44, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

this happened to me last night too, but it seems to have stopped now. if i clicked on the page button it would take me to a random page. clicking the history button took me to a random history, etc. it does not do it anymore, though. D.west.ton 19:13, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
