Day 4
The Armed Forces of Sirion
Sirion's general is Sir Meristenzio Peristaltico. He sets the strategy for the next month or so, and then the armies execute that plan.
Sponsors for an army are the people that founded the army. Sponsors pick the Marshall and the Second-In-Command (SIC) of that army. Sponsors also put gold in the war chest to help with repairs and training etc. Usually, armies are sponsored by Dukes. (If the realm roleplayed more, then the sponsors would have more significance in founding armies etc).
Marshalls run the day-to-day tactics of an army: move here, dig in there, use these settings.
Sirion has five armies, each with a specific task. The first three accept warriors like you.
1) Army of Sirion (AOS)
Marshal: Meristenzio Peristaltico
The AOS defends the southern end of Sirion. It will accept any young noble. This is probably the army that your Lord will assign you to; it is the place where most of us learn to do the dance of death. If you want to join another army, you should talk to your lord first.
