Avamarians to the end

Well, it seems that the Avamarians have once again sunk to the levels we know they are capable of. Once more, a member of the universally hated Abandonas family has taken ascendance over the isles. In times of great struggle and desperation it seems, political manuevering does not matter to the Avamarian, and their true colours show. The Press does send their condolences to out-going Pontifex Indira, for you too have fallen victim to Avamarianism, a classice case of "we will use you as a tool of deceit, and when no one takes the bait, we will remove you and replace you with the person we really want in the box seat".

But those nations who have already stood against Avamar, and even those who will not but still wish them gone, fear not. Soon Old Rancagua, the Northern Alliance and her partners, in this great crusade to end the greatest threat the East Continent has ever seen, will march to the final battle and finally destroy the Avamarian menance once and for all!

Death to the enemies of peace and unity in the East Continent!

Rebels fall victim to the iron will of Old Rancaguan Arch-Priest

It was long known that Wenliang's stance concerning traitors of the worst sort was one of no tolerance. This is something that the rebels seemed to believe to be a meaningless threat until the recent speight of executions held in full view of the cityfolk of Ashforth. Of the rebels who rose up in bloodthirsty revolution against the true government of Old Rancagua, four have gone under the axe commissioned by longtime Arch-Priest, Wenliang.

Though his image in the community suffers, and his prestigious name and honourable standing is continually tarnished by these necessities, he has promised the nobility of Old Rancagua retribution, and sent future rebels a clear message. Acts of such a heinous nature will not be tolerated in Old Rancagua.

The Gods fury upon the rebels

Only a few hours ago, the Gods fury was unleashed upon several rebel leaders and around the city of Ashforth many were terrified by the extreme lightening storms which lit the city streets with a bright fluroesence. By the end of the storms, five rebels lay dead, their charred remains creating a smell which was rank throughout the city afterwards. The interpretations of the local priests of the City were as thus.

Rebellion!

Earlier today Rhargec, grandson of the infamous worm Charger, called for an uprising against the true government of Old Rancagua dragging along an army of newer Nobles into the fray. The rebellious members comprised of a handful of nobles, not surprisingly three-quarters of which had not been in the realm more than 20 days. Here follows an account of Rhargec's "reasons" (if any) for rebellion, other than personal family vendetta against Old Rancagua.

Originally, the battle was taken to the Old Rancaguan loyalists with only a handful being able to react in time to defend the palaces from being overrun but, as the loyalist numbers grew exponentially it was clear that the number of Nobles who disagreed with the current course of action were few. A clear majority in the Nobility has taken up arms with King Dekion and the Council as they continue to orchestrate the defence of the Capital long enough to stall the rebellion and kill all its leaders.

Let us wish them luck in their efforts as they fight to maintain Old Rancaguan honour and sovereignty.
