August 21, 2006 - Scandal in Old Rancagua Today, after a quiet last few days of internal peace, the nobles of Old Rancagua were once more whipped up into frenzy by the recent uncovering of further underground evidence of rebellion. Unlike the last time however, which was orchestrated by a silent figure of the realm and his army of newcomers, this rebellion seems to have been planned by none other than members of the hated "Followers of Light" order. The "Followers of Light" came into prominence when the nobles who followed this religion took control of Rancagua and started a chain-reaction which would lead to the Rancaguan Civil War. It seems once more that the hated Church (or its puppets) are attempting to take control of the lands which they lorded over all those years ago. From this revelation, early today Ebion II Junior, former Arch-Priest of Old Rancagua and the most vocal Noble involved with the push for continued war with Kalmar, revealed to the realm secret messages which took place between himself and current High Marshal Johnny, detailing a plan codenamed "Operation Seven". This operation was in its most basic form, a plan to ban Ragnell (former Queen of Old Rancagua and wife to Fuinir), wound and then capture her as a rogue, so that she may be tortured for information due to her ties to the underground. This revelation raised internal uproar and brought forward nobles from both sides, arguing for and against the actions of the Old Rancaguan Council. Following these scandals, the incumbent Arch-Priest (though only recently elected) has announced his upcoming resignation from office, his reasons were outlined in a speech to the nobles earlier today and can be found here. All this comes as only further fuel upon the fires which burn in Old Rancagua at this present time as brothers and sisters are pitted against each other. These internal struggles for power and dominance have become commonplace since the hated rebellion of Charger all those months ago, an operation orchestrated by none other than the notorious Hireshmont. Who would have thought such a small (and ultimately failed) rebellion could cause so much damage. It seems perhaps, that all it did was cut the shackles which were kept tight under Fuinir's rule. That is, perhaps this is a necessary formative stage and something that should have occurred a long time ago... August 15, 2006 - New Coimbra? In a continental announcement, delivered to the rulers of the East Continent today Gregor Relak, the Chancellor of Fontan, declared Fontan's renewed drive to give rebirth to a realm which they themselves brought an end to many months ago. Today, in a passionate speech delivered to the people of Ashforth and the Nobles of Old Rancagua, the up-to-recently silent noble, Heel, called for an immediate uprising against the current government. The credibility and strength of the Old Rancaguan military was severely questioned and tarnished today as the divided troops were defeated utterly at the hands of the Kalmarian defenders in Stora. Minor skirmishes on the front War has come once again to the Kalmar islands as the largest Old Rancaguan army assembled since before Charger's Rebellion marches towards Stora to engage the enemy. August 9, 2006 - Old Rancaguan military at peak With this declaration of war upon the Kalmar Islands, the military leaders of Old Rancagua has once more taken a census of their total military strength.
