The Sirion forces engaged in a pincer movement, trapping the Westmoor forces in Dale. The Army of Sirion attacked from the East from the region of Sermbar, whereas the Red Dragons attacked from the West from the region of Salta. The Westmoor forces, caught in-between by superior forces, suffered huge losses.
