Falasan/History
Right now, this is to be a gathering of writings about Atamara's history. The summaries were written by me, Royal Scribe Poe, at Queen Ilya Bluelake's service. They do not necessarily depict the view of the Kingdom about the articles.
In the future, a historical summary will be written based on the different writings.
The Newspaper Archives
In alphabetical order
- Abington Account
Started early on 2003 and holds records of facts until September 2007. Highly centred on Abington. See the historical records here.
- Abington First!
Also quite turned to what was happening within the realm of Abington, reported news from mid 2006 to mid 2007. Archives are here, saved from burning at the last guildhouse of the guild with the same name.
- Asgard Informer
Newspaper from Norland, created on mid 2007, and recently made more frequent in its articles. Take a look at the archives here.
- Ash Sea Chronicle
Recorded news related mostly to the south of Atamara, between late 2005 and mid 2008, with periods of greater or lesser activity. You can see the history archives here.
- Ash Sea Islands Times
This short lived newspaper does not hold much information and goes by a somewhat sensationalist tone, but is nonetheless source for the events involving the Ash Sea Islands as of January, 2006.
- Atamara Times
One of the earliest history is recorded here, when the first and second editions were published, in 2003. The third through seventh editions were published in 2005, and can be found here. Short news from 2005 can also be seen here and here.
- Atamaran Advocate
A short lived newspaper with only two issues in March and April 2007, has a valuable history, being one of the few newspapers with stories published by nobles of many different realms. It is worth checking its archive and also the 3rd issue that is not linked from there, made in December of 2008.
- RedSpan Revealer
This newspaper brings a view of the happenings on the south of Atamara between 2006 and the mid of 2007.
Other Newspapers
Sorted in alphabetical order, those are newspapers and writings that are of no relevancy to this study.
- Atamaran Writers Association
While interesting for the writings of nobles from all Atamara, holds no historical facts. The archives are here and range from mid to late 2006.
- Blackest Word
The Blackest Word was a newspaper founded to respond to the Naicato Herald. Of religious nature, spans from mid 2006 to mid 2007, as you can see on these archives. Not very interesting to this research. If you are interested in religious discussions, though, you might want to read the Discussion pages in this newspaper.
- Book of the Atamaran Undead
A book of undead sightings in Atamara, only one volume (here) situated in February, 2007.
- Naicato Herald
Of religious nature, has one volume situated in mid 2006. Read it here. Not of very much interest to this research.
- Norland News
Newspaper project without significant content about the history of Atamara. They do have a seemingly biased research on favourite drinks in Norland. Made on December 2005.
