Current Reports The Battle Commenced! 8th February 2007 As dawn approached the battle wary warriors of Redspan, marched on the city of Sullenport. They prepared for the worst, stories had been rife coming from the fleeing citizens of Sullenport. They talked about hundreds of walking dead. As the two forces met on the field of combat, Sgt Klien takes up the story. Klien: "I was part of the Kings bodyguard. One of the few of us that had survived the previous battles with Darka. Only last week were we fighting on this same battlefield. Anyway, as our forces gathered in strength and our men deployed to their respective positions, I gathered there was about 200 of us Redspanians. Our numbers severely depleted by the last few weeks of fighting the hordes of Darka. Now we are fighting another type of horde. This one does not feel fear. "With the troops in position, Marshal jetti gave the command to advance. Our archers opened up on the undead, who also started to close the gap between out forces. It was unreal though, our arrows just penetrated through their bodies, causing no effects on them. Only 6 of the hundred arrows found their mark. After the second volley, the king gave the order to charge,a nd the rest followed suit. We struck home very hard, taking out many of their numbers, but they replied in kindness. Ripping at our infantry and striking the flesh of our horses they cut us down. We were killing them alright, we kept impaling them with lances and cutting their head off with swords, but it wasn't enough. As soon as we killed one, someone else took his place. "With the smell of fresh blood in the air, the undead charged on. Our forces had no chance, they died where they fought. Not one man ran away from his comrades, preferring to die than let Rosengarden guy take him from behind. With the last man cut down, the undead began their feast. A sight I wish to never see again. "News has reached us that more forces are on their way from Stargard to help eliminate the reminding undead. May Da Great Goat be with us tomorrow, when we ride into battle again against these un-goatly abominations!" Sullenport Under Threat 7th February 2007 For the second time in as many weeks, Sullenport is under threat again. This time not from Darka and Taleirum, but from the undead that has risen from the ground. Rumours are going round that the dead from the battles in Sullenport have risen to take revenge on those who lived, their numbers swelled by the slaughter only a few days ago. The forces of Redspan are mustering to defeat this un-goatly horde. --Article written by Tony, King of Redspan
