Monster Challenges
Zyrdan
Do monsters breed faster in the winter? No one knows for sure, but some believed they do, replicating so that by now their numbers are larger than normal. Whatever the cause, angry beasts stand in the way of Morek, and they aren't alone. Monsters, Undead, unruly natives and rebels threaten to halt the glory of the Blood Stars.

Of the peasants rebelling, Marshal Vesuvius had this to say:

"We have given them great things like civilization from a uncivilized world, and protection from the monster incursions. Though, it might because of the recent colonist. I do not think they get along with the local Dwili."

Shomrak is an example of a region inflicted with problems; at the beginning of the month, it was in a state of revolt. Two days later, a battle took place in which 17 monsters attacked the Morek troops there and were driven off with some effort. After six days the region was still in revolt, and managed to kick the duly appointed Lord and his administration out, demanding another. Two days after that, they declared "independence" and overthrew the government itself. As of this time the fate of the region is still unknown.

Similar forces working against us in other regions, including Huanghai, and Weinschenk - where Sir Armand Vici fell heroically in battle this month. Peasants in Ünterstrom managed to plunder over a thousand gold from tax offices on the 14th in another revolt - simultaneously and in the same region, monsters rampage, eating over 100 over the past few days.

The need for civilization and strength in these inland areas is clearer than ever before, but just as clearly, it will not be a simple and straightforward path to victory.

The Donghaiwei Dispatch!
Zyrdan
Today, the Dispatch published its first edition, representing the first newspaper service begun in the realm of Morek. The idea for a news-service was first presented as an unofficial initiative amongst the nobles aligned with Duke Deverka of Donghaiwei, and met with general approval. Currently, only a handful of overworked scribes and messengers are employed by the Dispatch's editor, who hopes to expand the publishing "facilities" to allow for invitation of other noble authors to participate in the endeavor.
