March 1, 2008 Far from quiet on the Western Front Even as the fighting has lulled upon our southern borders in recent days, skirmishes and attacks upon our western provinces have only seemed to have increased as the new moon rises. Much of the fighting seems to be centred on the ducal seat of Aja and neighbouring territories, with a Falasan expeditionary force sadly unable to prevent the strongholds overrun by coalition forces from Darka, Talerium and Tara just last week. The Taran armies have been attempting to forcibly bring Aja under their command, though thus far have been thwarted by an impressive guerilla campaign by the Ashlantean citizenry in the region. Since their first failed attempt at takeover, rumours have reached the Chronicle that the Taran forces present have begun dismantling the fortifications of Aja. Presumably this is in an effort to build a second fort within the stronghold to defend themselves from the militant citizenry! Ruler election in Norland: The realm of Norland has reconfirmed Peny Estrall as its Konungr. He received 61 % of the valid votes. Ruler election in Cagilan Empire: The realm of Cagilan Empire has elected Samuel Haine as its new Prime Minister. He received 52 % of the valid votes. Ruler election in Talerium: The realm of Talerium has reconfirmed Captain Tezokian as its Prime Minister. He received 45 % of the valid votes. Legendary Hero Buried The McGahee family commemorates the dead hero Moses, a legend known all over the world. Admirers, friends and even enemies visit his grave.
