Leopold is a member of the Line of Boreal the Great. As a firstborn child of Boreal's son Alexanderos, he is the eldest heir to the legacy of his famous grandfather. After Abraxas died, Abraxas who originated from the Line of Mythos, Leopold assumed the duty and honor to be the new Patron of House Arrakis, thusly bringing the leading position in the family back to the Line of Boreal. Shortly after his coronation Leopold became keen enough to move the family home from Jariedma to Darfix. The reasons for this were because no pure blooded Arrakis noble served in Jariedma at that time, and Darfix, which was a gem in the eyes of the family elders ever since Boreal conquered it, was an important milestone in the rise of House Arrakis to high nobility.

Leopold is of medium height and his torso is usually covered by decorative, yet thick protective armor. His face is graced by two grayish eyes who give impression of wisdom in his gaze. He wears a blood-red long cape and fights with a sword and shield. His sword, Darfus, was passed on to him by his father, and the sword was supposedly forged in Darfix when the first conquerors arrived. His shield is a family heirloom; a red shield decorated with three golden lines, symbolizing the Three Lines of the Arrakis.
