Arcaea/Dining Hall/The Return of the King's Spiritual Advisor

Dren's weary, travel hardened legs carried him along the familiar streets of Talex. People walking past stopped to point him out, recognising his simple robe and tall frame more than his face; the recent months had added new lines to his already weathered exterior, and he had grown a short beard. An age ago he had led this city into Arcaea's arms, bringing food and relief to its starved population. He had done his best to undo the Ethialan incompetence that had seen the city become an empty shell of its former self.

He was not here to admire Duchess Edara's handiwork, though; he was here to meet his old friends. His staff clicked on the steps that lead up to the palace and he nodded to the guards outside the gate. One stepped through a small door. Dren gazed up at the castle expectantly, his smile threatening to become a grin.
