 The past few months have been glorious for Riombara, finally retaking her old city of Irombro, and finding a peaceful resolution with its people. The Enweilian presence in Athol Margos was crushed, and the banner of the sun was raised over the city at long last. However, the city had payed a dreadful toll after being under the heel of Enweil and the daimons. But 500 peasants were left alive, of that once powerful city. Sir Ercole D`Este was named its new Duke. Not long after, Rines too was retaken, its population a third of what it was. Treasurer Kammar was appointed its Duke. The Southern Island is ours once again! In accordance with law, Treasurer Kammar stepped down from from his post as banker, and Ambassador Mordred was elected in his place. However, Enweil hadn't been idle. It had used the time to attack our ally Hetland, and pillage and rape their regions and peasants. It is up to Riombara to help its northern friend free itself from the Enweilian yoke of oppression.
March 15, 2009 Riombara knew it could not stand by and do nothing while Enweil terrorized its northern ally. Gathering a small, but elite strike force, Riombaran troops penetrated deep into the soft underbelly of Enweil. The force swiftly moved through Lopa, Yncaalo,Uscala,Droxago and Rummannen, collecting the taxes that would line the pockets of the Enweilian tyrants. The Riombaran troops faced no opposition, apart from a few insignificant militia units in Lopa.
