The Karandras Scandal
Background
Laurie is married to Beatrice. They were married on the day she came of age. After a bried time in Carelia, she became a trader but was found guilty of using the black market in a federation realm. She was banned by the Judge, and after saying her goodbye to Laurie, she left for Beluaterra.
Their love has been strong, and they sent many letters to each other. Most of which survived the awful voyage from Atamara to Beluaterra. However, Beatrice has been rather busy of late with her new position as Countess of Kif, and when Laurie took up the role of Mentor for Carelia he found he had no time for fun...until one of his students brightened up his days.
