|Sirdan Lux, the most military-minded of his two brothers, Mohindar and Zaratin Anarion, set out to East Continent at the age of 17. He swore allegiance to Fontan, but indeed too short was his service. What has happened to him in Sermbar desert no one knows. For years he was tought lost, engulfed by a desert storm, not so unusual for that area. Beads of time have passed before his cousin, Targon Valerian, already a well established Atamaran noble, sent a group of rangers to search for any trace of Sirdan. Not that he had some real hope of finding Sirdan alive, but after a heroic death of Elladan Losfer, his twin brother, and killing of Zaratin Anarion, his other cousin, Targon had been struck by great grief, which spurred him to desparate search of any remaining members of Hathor's lineage.

This brave group of rangers did find a bearded hermit is Sermbar, Sirdan Lux, and persuaded him to return to Atamara with them. It is rumoured that Targon instructed the leader of the ranger group, a commoner named Laszlo, into how will he make Sirdan folow them, should they ever find him. Their voyage back home was filled with dangers and horrors Sirdan is reluctant to speak of, but after a year they have returned to Targon's estate in Shanandoah. Sirdan was a different man.
