After searching the area for 2 hours, following trails and noises, Godfrey finally encountered several groups of monsters.
He noticed that they had a leader, an alpha monster, a really big and ugly one, whatever you want to call it.
Because he was close to home and familiar with the lay of the land, he was able to use the terrain to his advantage.
The battle raged, Godfrey against the monsters. His blows landed true and he struck most of them down, while a few manage to flee.
The big one was the last to fall, but after an exhausting fight he managed to take him down, too.
In the lair of the big one, he found treasures worth a total of 8 silver.
He also found this unique item among the loot, the "Weird Gem".
At first glance the gem appears to be no distinct color, but upon closer inspection the ring will glow the color of your soul. It is rumored that only a truly great noble can unlock all of the secrets held within.
