You have likely seen my announcement, but a tournament of Joust and Swordfight will be held in the grand city of Sirion in 7 days. This grand tournament is intended to celebrate a number of important things. The formal ending of hostilities between Sirion and Shadowdale The wedding between Lord Monterys and myself, which is to take place in Sirion City just before the tournament finals are to be held The dawning of a new age for the East Continent, where old rivalries are buried and new friendships are crafted To mark my desire to celebrate, and to hopefully attract wide participation from across the continent, I have set the purse for both the swordfighting crown as well as that of the joust to be an incredible 10,000 gold each. Second place will earn 900 gold. This is a high number, meant to welcome any and all comers to Sirion in the spirit of friendship, hopefully for one of the most remarkable and legendary tournaments in this history of this continent. The ultimate winner of the prize will certainly and immediately find themselves among the most wealthy and influential nobles among all of your contemporaries.
