Appearance

Her hair is long and golden-blonde, usually in some kind of braid or pony-tail. She prefers to keep her appearance neat. Outside of battle she seldom wears armor, though she always keeps her sword nearby.

Personality

The most 'normal' and responsible member of the family, Kate is quiet, methodical and has an eye for detail.

She seldom smiles or shows any hint of what she is feeling, and usually appears cold and distant. She doesn't do this on purpose, nor does she want to appear this way - she simply does not know how to properly express her own emotions. Even if she has difficulty showing it, she does care about those close to her, and is not so cold-hearted that she would lead her troop into a suicidal battle.

She cares little for battle, except that which can be won with her own skill, not those of her soldiers. She finds more satisfaction in keeping things working and in order, and none in causing destruction or taking lives. Or, at least, that's what she'd have most people believe. Though she feels guilty about getting her soldiers killed, she takes far more satisfaction in taking lives than she would ever admit.

Her sense of duty and obligation overrides any of her own wants or wishes. She has a particular hatred of her older sister, who seems not to feel the same way - she has left most of the familial responsibilities to Katelijn. That, along with her incompetence and reliance upon alcohol, is the reason Kate resents her.
