This steel kite shield is much lighter than it should be, and rather than the crest of some long-forgotten knight the front is completely smooth, polished to a mirror finish clear enough to use for shaving. Obviously it is rather ostentatious for a piece of battle gear, but it nevertheless retains its sheen even after fierce engagements. Inscribed on the inside of the shield are the names of several heroes who have carried it before, though most are too faded to read.
