Knight-Lord (personalist)

  • In the sight of God, by whom I shall be judged, I will be faithful and true my lord, and love all that he loves, and shun all that he shuns, according to law, and according to the world's principles, and never, by will or by force, by word nor by work, do what is against his will; on the condition that he supplies my needs as they deserve to be supplied, that he should allow me a suitable estate, and that he should protect my rights as a noble from the trespasses of other powers, and that he should count me a member of his own household; and on these terms I submit myself to him and to his will.

Lord-Duke (personalist)

  • In the sight of God, by whom I shall be judged, I pledge to aid my lord as a liege and vassal should, in arms for his causes, against every creature, living or dead; with all resources at my disposal for his will; at his command, I and all persons who have themselves sworn to me shall unite in the keeping of this oath to aid and defend my lord; so long as my lord shall himself keep faith with me, and provide me aid in arms and resources against every creature, living or dead. I shall pledge to sustain the coffers of my duke's treasury as he sees fit so long as he maintains support for my rightful income, as we have agreed upon. Should I or he fail in any of these regards, we will put ourselves at the mercy of the judge of the realm, and in the sight of Almighty God, for judgment, and abide by whatever punishment is given.

Duke-Ruler (personalist)

  • In the sight of God, by whom I shall be judged, I pledge my life and aid to my King as a liege and vassal should, in arms for his causes, against every creature, living or dead; with all resources at my disposal for his will; at his command, I and all persons who have themselves sworn to me, and indeed the full measure of their oaths and vassals and antrusions, shall unite in the keeping of this oath to aid and defend my King; so long as my King shall himself keep faith with me, and provide me aid in arms and resources against every creature, living or dead, for the warding of my lands, and lands with oaths to me and mine, for the safeguarding of my household; and so long as my King shall safeguard the laws and customs granted to our ancestors, from their wisdom and for their safety; and indeed, if my King should violate this oath in any regards, I and those beneath me shall be considered no longer bound to him; and if I should violate this oath, my claim to the succor of the King shall be forfeit, and indeed, insofar as my lands were granted to my family be he and the righteous kings before him, my own lands shall be forfeit. This I swear in the sight of Almighty God, that he may keep me fast to it.

Knight-Lord (state)

  • In the sight of God and the powers of the realm, by whom I shall be judged and governed and to whom I am subject, I will be faithful and true my lord as the right honorable authority of the realm in these lands, and love all that he loves, and shun all that he shuns, according to realm's authority law, and never, by will or by force, by word nor by work, do what is against what is harmful to the realm, nor to my liege as my immediate authority; on the condition that he, as the agent of the realm supplies my needs as they deserve to be supplied, that he should allow me a suitable estate, and that he should protect my rights as a noble from the trespasses of other powers, and that he should provide for my being counted wholly as a denizen are participant of the realm; and on these terms I submit myself to him and to his will, and to the realm at large.

Lord-Duke (state)

  • In the sight of God and the powers of the realm, by whom I shall be judged and governed and to whom I am subject, I pledge to aid my lord as we have agreed, in arms for his lawful causes, against every creature that opposes him and the realm; with all resources at my disposal for judgment; at his command, I and all persons who have themselves sworn to me shall unite in the keeping of this oath to aid and defend my lord and realm; so long as my lord shall himself keep faith with me and with the realm, and provide me aid in arms and resources against every creature and threat against my lands. I shall pledge to sustain the coffers of my duke's treasury as he sees fit, and as is proper under the laws of the realm, so long as he maintains support for my rightful income, as we have agreed upon in the sight of God and the law. Should I or he fail in any of these regards, or should either of us be in violation of the sovereign laws of the realm, we will put ourselves at the mercy of the judge of the realm, and in the sight of Almighty God, for judgment, and abide by whatever punishment is given; and in the event we should be found culpable by the realm, this oaths benefits shall be considered void.

Duke-Ruler (state)

  • In the sight of God and the powers of the realm, by whom I shall be judged and governed and to whom I am subject, I pledge my life and aid to my ruler as we have agreed, in arms for his lawful causes; with all resources at my disposal for his will as the realm's will; at his command, I and all persons who have themselves sworn to me, and indeed the full measure of their oaths and vassals and antrusions, shall unite in the keeping of this oath to aid and defend my ruler and realm; so long as my ruler shall himself keep faith with me, and provide me aid in arms and resources, for the warding of my lands as part of his sovereign realm, and lands with oaths to me and mine; and so long as my King shall safeguard the laws of the realm; and indeed, if my ruler should violate this oath in any regards, I and those beneath me shall be considered rightful in removing him for the benefit of the realm. And if I should be in violation of this oath, my claim to the succor of the ruler shall be forfeit, and indeed, if I am in violation of the laws of the realm which my ruler rightfully upholds, my own lands shall be forfeit. This I swear in the sight of Almighty God and the whole realm, that I may be kept fast to it.
