Church of Kromth

It is by strength of my will, that I shall live forever

The Church of Kromth was founded in Algor Roc, by a sect of Daeist priests. That believed that the warrior Kromth was the real reason that the Finngar came to power. And when they left the Church of Daeism, the took with them all the holy relics pertaining to Kromth.

Kromth was said to have been born from the Rigin Mountains themselves, and was then raised by wild animals. When he reached the age 13 he had his first contact with the plainsmen. And he fell in love with the daughter of a powerful warlord. It would be 3 years before he ever saw her again, and from the mountain he was given what we now call the Axe of Kromth. A holy relic which can be found in the Algor Roc Temple.

He would then make his way into the great valley, were he challenged the warlord for his daughter. After a fierce battle that lasted 5 days, and 5 nights, Kromth beheaded his would be father-in-law. And took her not only as his wife, but leadership of the people.

It is in this way that Mesne Roc has thrived. With leadership over the people being fought over until one kills his opponent, or the submit. Those who would submit are the lowest caste, and would often have there tongues cut out and the balls lopt off. This tradition is still used to this day in Mesne Roc. And was brought back into existance when the Church of Kromth came about.

Axe of Kromth

The great axe that was wielded by Kromth when he came to power, rests in the Temple in Algor Roc. Its giant stone axehead is magnificant. And is sharper then any metal axe that is produced even now.

Blood Moon

During the summer months it appears that the moon turns red. It is during this time that Kromth travelled the plains with Sturge, Katrina, Makaii and Ulrihf. And when the moon was full, they battled against the giant serpent of Lake Makaii. It is here that Makaii at the edge of the lake. And as his blood flowed the surface of the lake turned red. Now on the nights of the Blood Moon, the lake turns a dark red, as it did when Makaii died.
