To become a hero is to raise yourself above the ranks of the normal troop leader and become living legend. However, becoming living legend also means, at some stage, to die. This is the risk of being a hero.

A hero fights alongside his men in battle, inspiring them and adding his strength from the front lines. Thus, his strength is added to the total strength of his unit in battle. To see a hero thirsty for blood and crying for victory is an inspiring sight for his men, and the morale of what would otherwise be lesser men is recovered more quickly.

Being a hero is to be a warrior. A hero lives for battle, for war. Thus, a hero is unable to do civil work or police work like a common soldier. However, being a warrior, respect and status is shown by lesser men not given to others. Priests and monks in temples will always bless heroes should they come, and any prison guard should be wily to hold any hero for long; the hero using their superior skills to often find an escape in the most blocked of cells.

Of course, a hero's life is a wandering one; a hero sometimes has the ability to move their family home, using their influence and prestige to their advantage.

No matter who the audience, a hero's tale will inspire all men. The ability to give inspirational speeches on the eve before battle will rouse and inspire his men to victory; while sharing the tales of war in a warm corner of a tavern somewhere will make comrades of and...
