A Huge Battle Report caught my eye the other day, and it occurred to me that it might be better with a few small changes.

First, the CS reported should be replaced with an estimated number of troops on each side. Naturally it should have the same variance from the actual values that the CS reported has. It just seems that with the greater emphasis on keeping things in-character that giving a totally artificial number like CS makes less sense these days.

Second, there should be different degrees of such reports, with different sizes described. Perhaps there should be a "Large Battle" with more than 500 men involved, a "Huge Battle" with more than 1000, and "Epic Battle" with more than 2000 men.

And finally, with the different levels of hugeness, there should be different distances to which the word spreads. A Large Battle should, perhaps, only be sung about as far away as 500 miles, a Huge Battle 1000, and an Epic Battle the entire continent, or perhaps 2000 miles. (Note that on Atamara/Beluaterra, this works out to about 1/4-1/3 of the continent for Large and 1/2 for Huge; 2000 miles is plenty far to cover the whole continent, though it will not on Dwilight.)
