Danzi entered Ikalak city in her usual fashion, this time very aware that the guards would arrest her if she was spotted. She felt her cheeks redden as she passed the window of Duke Edwin's bedroom, although he would be holding court at this time she still averted her eyes cautiously.

Duke Edwin had once offered her any room in his castle and she had picked a moderate room with a large bathtub. Neither ornate or poor it was seldom visited by anyone in Ikalak city. As she climbed through the window she was pleased to see that despite all the changes, her room, as she thought of it, was exactly how she left it.

Cleaning herself quickly from her travels, she donned a borrowed dress and pinned her hair up away from her face. Lifting her chin to mimic the arrogance of the typical noble she moved with airs to the Duke's courtroom, hoping the militia would allow her to see her new liege.
