Vanya Departs (Ilya says goodbye to her sister - Written by Talita S.)
Ilya bid her sister farewell in the middle of the night. Vanya kept it a secret where she was going, but would send letters eventually, letting the family know how things were turning out. The young woman had picked a stallion to go with her in the journey, not a beautiful steed, but trustworthy and smart. She made sure it wouldn't look much of a horse, and had the same care with her clothes. Ilya helped her thinking a light leather protection for the main parts of her body, under her rag looking clothes. The leather worker was much surprised to craft the pieces for such a lady, but didn't complain and worked hard in both Vanya's armor and Ilya's saddle, thanks to Willem's warning long weeks ago. They also crafted a crest for Vanya to present in case she needed to prove her nobility, making a medallion and a banner with it. The banner was sewn into an old bag, and she used the medallion under her clothes.
Vanya quickly found a place in some merchants troop, where her horse would also be of use, and left to an unknown destiny.
The lady knight turned from the road and headed back, with the feeling of loss, but also hoping her sister would learn everything she wished for so long. Ilya's mind quickly turned back to Willem, wounded in Elroth, and the orders she had just received. She wouldn't be able to care for him as he did for her in Nazgorn.
After having Varl fix the equipment, and recruit some more infantry, she sent Willem a message, a gift, and turned her mare to Menedor. Maybe she would be able to stop by his family's house and bring them some comfort.
