Ibladesh was hit hard by hordes of Perdanese and Caligans. There were some who questioned the gods, wondered why they had abandoned Ibladesh. Aeneas however saw things a lot differently: "The gods do not make mistakes, it was mankind that had grown arrogant and lacked faith." He wrote a letter to all the noblemen of Ibladesh, stating his view and warning. This letter was written as followed:

Noblemen of Ibladesh,

Still dark times are faced, hordes of heathens stand before our gates. With the sole intention of ill will, destruction of the church and all who worship them. These heathens will be punished, their bodies will reek of death, diseases will stretch throughout their lands and war will ravage them.

But for now, it is our lands that are ravaged. The gods watch us every battle and every day, some might wonder why they have not intervened. How they let this happen, why they abandoned us. Questions mood and false I tell you, I will explain you why. Never loose hope nor faith my fellow countrymen, for only that will lead to destruction, nothing else can.

The gods never make mistakes! Never let one fall who does not deserve so, never abandon the righteous and faithful. It is us that must look to ourselves when we judge upon our current situation. What mistakes have we made, what injustice have we done to deserve such a punishment from the gods. In these times of war, these times of trouble that we as mankind are tested we always say. And such is indisputably true. War is a difficult burden upon our shoulders, one however that must be carried. In times like these it is that we must show our faith, that we pray to the gods and seek their guidance. We must keep hope and trust the highest entities of all. If we loose faith and hope, we will be crushed time after time, if our soldiers loose hope and no longer move out we will never gather our full force and therefore we will not win our battles. Something that has happened too often these past years! With the dedication and faith of all of you and the soldiers you bring this war can be turned! We showed this last week, we must continue. Even now in Oc Lu Pesh too many have not gathered, too many have not moved. What is it that is feared, the legions of Caligus? They are nothing but mere mortal heathens, nothing compared to the wrath of the gods I tell yea!

But do not be fooled, our mistakes, our sins are not restricted to this war itself. We have made worse mistakes before this war was ever started. Not only in times of trouble we must show our faith. In times of prosperity I dare to say one is even more challenged than in these harsh times. In times of prosperity one can easily loose his way, grow arrogant and recognizes too few that the wealth is merely a gift of the gods for their great faith. In times of prosperity one looses sight of what is important, the gods and the pantheon. Worldly possessions are merely here to reward us for good faith, for our devotion. But it is sometimes because of this wealth that one forgets his faith, forgets where his wealth came from. One can grow arrogant, one of the worst sins there is. For we are merely the creations of the gods, modesty should be treasured when we look up to the gods. The distance between ourselves and the gods is perhaps even greater than that between us nobility and those filthy peasants. Think of what you would do to a peasant when he becomes arrogant, forgets it was you who kept him fed and brought him his possessions. You would ensure severe punishment upon him, so too failed we failed towards the gods.

It is now that we must make up for this, we must show our faith and devotion. We must be humble once more in the view of the gods. What we have, who we are, exists because of their grace. It is time we remember such once more. Pray ever day, show them we have changed, let us learn from our mistakes Then eventually we will be rewarded once more!
