After several weeks of preparation by Dulthalos, Grand Justiciar of Giblot, the Official Giblot Headball Tournament finally got underway earlier this month. There had been slight hiccups with Head supplies shortly before the first Headball match but luckily enough peasants tried unsuccessfully to get into the Headball Arena. Despite several protests all peasants had been banned from the match in case they actually had fun. In the first match Thanatos team managed to overcome the pitiful efforts of 'The Ka-Tet of 19.' In a short interview with our former Prime Minister, Thanatos said this:
"Well I would just like to say congratulations to the team and feel free to meet us all to celebrate in our aptly named tavern, 'The Headless OT.' First 5 rounds are on me then you are on your own, tonight we celebrate our first victory!"
This reporter declined Thanatos' generous offer as we all know about his infamous drinking games and the associated scandals. In the latest round of the Headball Tournament, The Headbangers lost to the Spine Draggers. There are several unconfirmed reports that the post match violence was caused by the losing side, The Headbangers. Despite several team members showing obvious signs of injury, the team deny all accusations that they were involved in any violence.
