Current Affairs

Allies in Old Rancagua Victorious

Old Rancagua defeated the first--and quite possibly only--line of Kalmar's defense in Stora. What they will do next is unknown.

Update: Old Rancaguan advance has stopped cold in Kalmar.

Second Update: Prometheus--former King of KI Monarchy--elected as new Leader in Democratic KI! What the hell is going on out there, a resoultion/agreement of some sort? We'll report more as soon as we get the info.

Third Update: It is rumored that unrest will begin again in the North between Old Rancagua and the Kalmar Islands. Not sure of the details why, or how, but it appears that the young democracy is going to struggle to exist.

Ubent ready for Peace

Today the Sirion High Council discussed the possibility of signing a ceasefire with Ubent because she is willing to make right, where she went wrong, long ago. What Sirion will do is still unknown. More info to come later.

Update: The Prime Minister just declared that Sirion will end her war with Ubent, and raised relations to Neutrality now, and that Sirion will raise relations to peace once the land transfers are complete that Ubent promised. Good news for the Island as a whole, as yet another conflict is brought to an end.

Second Update: It is official, Prime Minister Handow officially announced that Sirion and Ubent have Peace. This is the first time we have peace with the Republic of Ubent, in the past, we often shared peace with the Tyrants of the Iron Throne...so we hope that this peace, is the beginning of a similar relationship.

Third Update: With Peace official with various nations, Ubent has thrown a Tournament to celebrate! Unfortunately, it is grossly overpriced and many in Sirion are getting mixed reactions. Are they cheap-skates? Scammers? Hustlers? Building up funds to start war again? Why try to rip off potential visitors? These are just a few of the questions floating about, but the general consensus is that Sirion will not be in a hurry to join this particular tourney en-mass. I personally believe that the new Ruler--precisely because he is new--simply made a mistake with his math, and is not purposely trying to shiest participants, but who knows. Time will tell.

Fourth Update: I--Doc--have chosen to join the tournament and write an article about it. I hope that the Ruler of Ubent gives the winners a nice little "side" bonus because making over 100% in profits is quite...dishonest. If I were not a member of the Press, I would not of come, truth be told. More news after the tournament.

Caligus desires Peace

After a bloody rebellion, former Queen Gywynth was ousted from the Royal Palace. The new King Vlad issued a statement where he states that the government of Caligus seeks "Neutrality" on the Island. The King of Yssaria was rumored to of not bitten into the plea quite so easily or forgivingly, and said that Caligus has yet to offer a decent proposal of surrender. The Prime Minister of Sirion has not said much over the issue--yet. More info to come later.

New Judge Alexander enforcing the Law

There have been various mishaps at the hands of several local Sirionites. The High Council discussed the crimes in detail, but we shall see how the Judge handles the punishments. The names of the accused (and their crimes/punishments) will be released if and when the Judge finds them guilty of the said crimes.

Update:

Ed fined 50 gold for attacking in Nascot against direct orders.

Kenshin fined 50 gold for not following orders and attacking friendlies through murderous troop settings.

Mitch fined 100 gold for his attack on Gwynyth since this is his second offense against Caligus when told to leave them alone on LoF soils.

Franklin was fined 25 gold for not following orders and wandering around

Still in Bescanon

Nobles of Fontan, Sirion and Perdan have been exchanging letters. Some constructive, others pointless. However, Doc raised a good point: "to forget how and why you are in the situation that you are in NOW, is a waste...fools that fail to learn the value in lessons, never wake up from the dreams that kill them." I hope that everyone that has spilled blood in the name of "something" is fully aware of the consequences, and truely believe what they are doing to be the right thing.

Rumors are also floating about that Gaiuhu is in a hot-spot in Perdan, and that his lame-duck talents in the realm of Diplomacy have made him quite unpopular as of late (also that Duel to the Death he lost, but did not actually die in, surely did not help his failing popularity). We shall see what happens, and ask the new Monarch--if one arises--for a brief Interview. If Perdan can be saved, she should be given a chance. If Sirion could pardon Ubent for its shennanigins, and Sirion gave Oligarch four different chances to live, surely, Perdan deserves at least a 2nd chance as well.

First Update: Perdan has been spared of her Worst King, and elected a new face, Clarissa, to help them with their problems. Rumors are spreading that Clarissa desires to end all wars against her nation, and we hope that she succeeds.

Second Update: Currently sitting in Brive, aiding Fontan with another Takeover. More news regarding Perdan have not been released to the Public. We hope they are being discussed by the Rulers.

Third Update: Currently resupplying. Major overhaul in Sirion's military needed, as CS charts show, haven't really lost much CS, but haven't really gained any either. Approximately 40% of Nobles heading back to Sirion City to add men. 60% still have what it takes in Oligarch City, and are keeping busy by doing minor repairs to the City.

Fourth Update: While we have been resupplying, the Perdanites have launched an effective counter attack against our Fontanese Allies. They have retaken Brive and Bescanon, leaving Meuse in complete Isolation. Earlier today, Perdanite forces crushed the Fontanese line in Troyes. Those fellas still got a lot of fight left in them, so this war may be far from over.

Fifth Update: Fontanese forces destroyed the occupational army of Perdan. Several Perdanites were captured, and a few others Seriously wounded. Sirion forces are still resupplying, and there has been discussion as to what we are going to do next.

Remember Coimbra?

Anyone remember our fallen ally, Coimbra? Last we heard she was making a comeback...but when--and where? Are any Sirionites former Coimbrians? If so, we'd like to hear what you think about the following: 1. Idea of Coimbra being resurrected, and 2. Whether or not you would go there, or stay in Sirion, and why. Interesting posts will be published, so share your knowledge with us!

Ubent Tournament

105 troop leaders from 11 realms paid their 20 gold entrance fee and visit the tournament grounds today to claim the winner's honours and 400 gold (100 for the 2nd place). 1,000 worth of gold in prizes, and 2,100 gold worth of entry fees.

The results were as follows:

Final Round: Manfred from Itorunt -beats- speedy from Ubent Winner: Manfred

Final Round: Sparky from Light of Fountain -beats- Nnix from Light of Fountain 3 to 0 Winner: Sparky

The grounds were unusually quiete...either because the people that came were still a little peeved at having paid so much, or because our Hosts in Ubent really had little to say. Whatever the reason, I was surprised to find so much peace and quiete at the grounds--for an old man like myself, this is a good thing. For a young man, however, it was probably boring.

No foul mouthing, or bickering took place, and for that, I am grateful. I wish I had more to report...but there really was...just not much going on but the games. Congratulations to Ubent for hosting such a profitable event, and congratulations to the winners!

Allied Forces Victorious in Partora

Yesterday, allied forces endured a long and horrendous battle that competely destroyed the fortress in Partora. The "undecisive" damages from the battle reduced the fortifications in the area to that of a Keep (Level 3). The following click, the allied forces rallied themselves up and crushed the defending Perdanite forces in their Capital.

Scouts report that Perdan has a mobile force of roughly 18k in Brive, so we will continue this story in August's edition, as to what happens to the allied defending forces which are rumored to only number 11k.

Advertisments

Mitch's Bounty Removal:

Are you tired of having that pile of gold on your head? Are you afraid that one day someone is going to stick you somewhere with a knife, just for that bounty?

Well...DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT ANY LONGER!!!

For a small fee, I am now offering the service of bounty-removal. This way, you won't lose any titles that you have coming to you in the future, to some pesky infiltrator.

Note, this option should only be for people without a title, as if you currently have one you would lose it using this process

Please contact me for more details (and especially if you are interested).
