it looks nice but please...remove all the extra pictures. It is good to have small paragrafs but remove all the extra pics, only use one at the start and one or two your way down. But not every few lines, it realy hurst my eyes. User talk:Laurens Schreuders

Aye, we're just constructing the page. There's gonna be other images/portraits/templates where those pics are - so bear with us :D --Crazylozda 19:06, 4 January 2008 (CET)

I noticed that Tinsley corrected some typoes. If you do find some, please do :) And thank you --Exclude 20:41, 5 January 2008 (CET)

I suggest you don't add all the different colours but keep it white for now. Yellow as background colour is...not very fine to look at ^_^ for the rest great work

User talk:Laurens Schreuders 21:30 5 January 2008 (CET)

We're still trying out different things, but i think these colors work? Anyways, we wont keep it white. First of all, people think its too plain and boring. Secondly, looking at a white page will hurt your eyes, you'll get dizzy, and you wont bother to read through the rest of the text ;) --Exclude 21:57, 6 January 2008 (CET)

Yeah all white can be boring that is true :P nice improvement comparing it from the start, I likt it. Only the first picture 'founderstree' is to small to read, except if you click on the link. It looks nice thats for sure but I would make some room between the heritage and add some line and clearer seperation of the different generations.

"Only the first picture 'founderstree' is to small to read, except if you click on the link.", Yepp, that was the point. I even uploaded the smaller pic so people would have something to click on..Not sure if it worked tho

"It looks nice thats for sure but I would make some room between the heritage and add some line and clearer seperation of the different generations.", Hmm, I'll see what I can do :) --Exclude 07:44, 7 January 2008 (CET)

Does anyone knows how to make a picture link to something else? As it is, if you click on it, you'll only get linked to the same picture.. --Exclude 16:35, 7 January 2008 (CET)

This is almost impossible with WikiMedia. You have to use some funky HTML to layer a hotlink over top of the graphic, and have that link point to the desired page. There are some drawbacks to this method, dealing with accessibility and some other stuff. Having said that, I have found a template called Click on the WikiMedia site, and copied a version of it over to the BM wiki. You can find it here: Template:Click. I use it on the Dwilight Daily pages.
I've tried to apply the Click template to your image, but there seem to be two issues:
  1. First, if you try and link the thumbnail directly to the full-size picture, part the linked picture seems to appear instead of the thumbnail. That by itself would be doable, simply by making a subpage that contains the full size image and linking to that subpage instead of directly to the full-size image.
  2. However, your thumbnail is rather large, and the Click template apparently doesn't deal very well with thumbnails that large. It only links about the top=left 1/4 of your thumbnail image.
Given those two restrictions, I would first try to upload a smaller version of your tree, try a max of 100 pixels square. See what that does. If it still doesn't work, then you'll have to have some other way to get people to click the link, instead of the graphic. (I have left the Click template I tried in your page, but commented it out. You can remove the comment markers to try and play with it, if you want.) --Indirik 19:31, 7 January 2008 (CET)

HTML Tag goes: < a href="URL" > Picture wikitag < /a > But without spaces before/after the a's - i'll help if you need :) --Crazylozda 19:40, 7 January 2008 (CET)

The problem with that syntax is that you will get the external link icon, since you are using a full URL instead of a wiki link. If you're going to do that, then Exclude's original syntax will work just as well. Rather than do that, I have modified your thumbnail into something of the appropriate size to work with my Click template. Now you can just click the thumbnail or the link text that I added. Either way will get you to the subpage where the founderstree graphic is located. --Indirik 20:34, 7 January 2008 (CET)

Thank you so much, Indirik. 1. It works. 2. It looks alot better than when i tried it! --Exclude 21:24, 7 January 2008 (CET)

Done with this page I believe. If you find any of the pictures on this site either wrong, inappropriate or just simply bad, then please give a shout. --Exclude 22:56, 8 January 2008 (CET)

Thank you, Medium. --Exclude 00:54, 9 January 2008 (CET)
