Out of curiosity, who wrote this? On a purely IC level, Hireshmont absolutely LOVED to rip on Avamarians, but I personally found them enormously fun to play alongside, if at times annoying due to their habit of being.... noisy. Vellos 20:23, 20 December 2007 (CET)

  • That would be me Vellos hence why I have it still but not the others. Gods only know why I kept it though, not a fun time to be sure. Anyway please rip away, it's part of the fun, just keep your head. Yes Ava-spam was annoying at times (aka: at all times), though a certain king has provided his fair share of tree killing in the past ;)--Dalakar 22:17, 20 December 2007 (CET)

So...

If I get it right, we should like the Black Hand, and it's Fontan we should all be hating... Why can't new Avamars be created, then...? -Chénier 08:26, 9 January 2008 (CET)

  • It's that kind of thinking that caused the problem in the first place. Events happened and this is part of the reason why. Hating one group or the other is ill advised. Mistakes were made by all involved until things got out of hand. 'Rebuilding' Avamar is not possible, you can't cross the same river twice. What you can try to do is take the lessons and build something new and better. The purpose of this is to shed light on the past and hopefully allow a better future.--Dalakar 08:39, 9 January 2008 (CET)
What I'm saying is, we get strong reactions when reffering to the Black Hand, the subject seems to be much of a taboo... There is still deep hatred for them, but despite all this, they were not the worst party? All this because of a few cheaters? -Chénier 08:49, 9 January 2008 (CET)
  • They are daemonized because of a few cheaters and lots of misunderstandings yes. It might be considered a defense mechanism, if the new players got organized like this more often they might actually stand a chance against the elders. However the actions of the 'Avamarians' after these events are not covered, and they're not innocent by any means. The whole affair tainted everyone involved. BM models human interactions quite well and though most are good, this is an example of a bad one.
If anything people should hate the Servants of Jarbosh considerably more, they've caused all sorts of trouble from I Can't Believe it's Not Butter, to helping along Rubber Duckey, to taking over Kalmar Islands just to name a few.

This entire subject should just be left to die a natural death. It is well overdue for burial. The fat lady has sung her song. Let it go already! --Indirik 13:41, 9 January 2008 (CET)

How did you...?

Well, yes it is me, the infamous Paris... I just wanted to say how much I appreciate what is written in this text. I am not sure if those who needed to read this have done so, but it does not matter for me. I have a question though... How did you manage to get all this stuff together and in such an historical order with every detail included? It is a work that must have taken you way too much time, but I can confirm that most of what is written is true. The case of Avamar though should never die, but only be used as an example for a better playing environment. Well done, Anthony, and thank you... :) I know you had absolutely no reason to write this text, but you did so... Thanks. -- Paris 03:20, 10 April 2008 (CEST)
