No bandit raiders? Tell me, how did they accomplish something that mankind has never been able to do, totally stamp out crime? How did they solve a problem that took radio and mass coordination between police departments to even curb? Hynes 06:52, 20 July 2007 (CEST)

  • Easy, first you must remember that in deserts nobody travels alone. Caravans and such. Perhaps the occasional lonely traveler, yes, but you can be sure it are few (mostly foreigners) and not enough to make a living of, considering you have to have the luck as bandit to run into one in the entire desert. You can be pretty certain of it that if there is any crime in a desert, it's run by a group of bandits. More organized. Now furthermore, the desert itself is already a very inhabitable place to live. When you want to hide as a bandit group, it's traveling between oases or you won't survive for long. For a new, reorganized government its not very hard to protect the few oases a desert counts. Even more, a group of rogue, armed men won't go unnoticed. The only thing the army needs to do is hunt them down while they cannot stop at any oasis or village. You'd be surprised how easily a desert can be patrolled and used as an effective means of crime eradication. Of course, all crime such as theft and murders still exist in cities and villages, but just no bandit groups anymore that could rob travelers. I'm actually just happy that someone read this stuff :D Therefore the long explanation. Foreign Curs 10:53, 20 July 2007 (CEST)
