Would a namechange option come available for family names, so more experienced players, who did not have much inspiration when choosing their family's name who do want to play in Dwilight and who are interested in hardcore Medieval RP'ing, can change their family's name to an appropriate one? A one-time occasion? Medium 13:24, 17 January 2008 (CET)

Tom has mentioned on the DList that he was thinking about it, but that he needs to find a way to make it a one-time-only option. Only he knows if it will ever happen. --Indirik 13:58, 17 January 2008 (CET)
Isn't changing your Real Life name already a one-time option? Anyway, I truly hope we can change our Family Names. - Bart 14:19, 17 January 2008 (CET)
Real Life names? AFAIK we're only talking about BattleMaster here. :p And in BattleMaster, there is no way to change your character or family names. Yet. --Indirik 19:17, 17 January 2008 (CET)
"On this page you can change your real name. This is intended for people who mistyped their name, or misunderstood the concept and entered only their first name, for example. It can also be useful for people who marry or change their name for whatever reason.
You have only one opportunity to change your real name for the game. No exceptions, for no reason.
In addition, the name you signed up with will still be displayed on your details page so people do not lose track of you." --Anabellium 01:55, 18 January 2008 (CET)
You said Tom needed to find a way to make it a one-time-only option. Hence the reference to the ability of changing your Real Life name, as for someone with no knowledge on coding it seems like there already is a way to make something a one-time-only option. - Bart 09:47, 18 January 2008 (CET)
