Knights' Personalized Crests

I quite agree with the idea that we should be providing a more flavorful atmosphere to Dwilight, and Milmice's use of personalized crests is both a simple yet worthwhile endeavor. Therefore, I'm going to be doing so as well (With less ability and experience in graphic design but hey, I learn fast). Currently I see that the de Zorro Family has a crest, the reduced and sharpened image of which I shall be using, unless Charles has any objections. There are only 8 total nobles I have to actually do anything for, so it's not too much work. If you realmmates (Vesuvis, Velox, Mervin, Vos, Yefflen, Caxias, Domonvi, have any ideas, talk to me. -The only issue you might have is how impractical it will be as the realm expands. In Morek, people come and go every week - out of our 60 something population. Maintaining personal crests for everybody is impractical and will get "bulky" (if you know what I mean) fast. Of course, if you want to try it, go a head and I wish you best of luck; perhaps you'll be able to work it out. Page maintenance could be come a big problem if your realm gets big. IMO, it will quickly become a very large PITA. You'll have to keep the page up to date adding and removing people, trying to get new people to design a crest, or get them to let you do it. Page size is an issue as well. You don't want one page with 50-60 crests on it. I do think it is an interesting idea. But I do agree with Anabellium that this could become a very large project. --Indirik 00:54, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

here i'am... as i said before to some other i mind to make a IG Guild (when gold income permit it) with an archive who will take note of family tree and crest of each one.

i started immediatly with Ordenstaat Knight and Region, so i make slowly all the work. the page will become huge soon... 60 crest in one page is big but lovely. maybe ever X time i will convert all single crest in one bigger image with all crest. anyway i don't use Photoshop, i can suggest the use of Illustrator who provide a lot of premade simbol, silhuette and othe thing really usefull for make the banner. and is faster... make one simple (if you use standard shield, will require anymore than 10 minute. more complex like realm one need about 1 hour) if anyone need Help for make crest here i'am. My plan is made Regional Banner now. Why? because this will provide to us historical banner, so if you born in a region yu can use the color of your region or add a quarter with your region, if you become lord of a region you can add your crest to the regional one, if the region will join a new duchy we can add the duchy color and go on... slowly if someone follow the project all regional banner will become complex and realistic... and knight can use the regional banner for be the basis of the personal one. anyway if you need any help, tip or crest, ask me in game o trough wiki. --Vecchioratto 09:45, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
