Early Family Life:

Jace was born to the merchants life. His father wanted him to be a merchant, his mother wanted him to be a merchant, but Jace knew he was something special. A Seraphen with ambition. Jace skipped his higher estimation courses in order to put time in with the only sword master he could afford. Every ounce of silver his father gave him was hid away to pay for these precious lessons.

Jace grew competent in swordplay and convinced his father to allow him to guard their family caravan when making trade runs in order to save the family money. Thus Jace put together his first band of men and subsequently defeated his first band of thieves after a few cargo runs. As Jace's seventeenth birthday loomed, His father feared that his son would chose the path of the warrior, but knew there was little he could do to stop him.

Coming of Age:

On his seventeenth birthday Jace sought out his cousin Lukanna who used her position to convince his father that Dwlilight was a land ripe for the expansion of his merchant trade. In reality Jace simply needed to break free of his fathers influence if he was ever going to make a name for the family as it's first true warrior in an age. Lukanna arranged for his father to believe that Jace was opening a shipping company in the family's name, in reality it was fame and glory on the field of battle he sought.

Lukanna recognized the fire in his eyes and sent him across the ocean with but some gold and a few men knowing that either great things or total ruin would ensue.
